Mediocre at best. We stayed at 755 N capitol in Fairmount. There is a lot of paperwork going through them directly vs Airbnb in addition to a 10.50 service fee for the security deposit that they don’t really mention. The hallways smelled of weed. There was no remote for the television so we could not watch it The light on the microwave stayed on so we had to unplug it. The bathtub needed plunging but thankfully there was a plunger handy so we weren’t standing in water while showering. There were about four different paint colors in the bedrooms…which obviously doesn’t impact your stay but is not really at this price point reasonable. Location is great right behind Eastern State and ultimately this got the job done but we weren’t on a vacation just visiting friends as we used to live in philly. If this had been a vacation, this would have been unacceptable.

While the area and the facility was adequate, the following experience was had: -there was confusion on the part of the management company associated with the actual address selected; consequently I had to contact the office several times to straighten this out; -the instructions were not intuitive and contradictory to get into the property -the facility let me in a few hours before the scheduled time, which was fantastic -the heat did not work in the facility, consequently space heaters had to be provided [it was 50 degrees outside] and the last person I spoke with was EXTREMELY RUDE, I don't recall his name but should not be public facing; -the facility did not offer any accommodation associated with the fact that the heat was not working properly and it took my 4 calls to get them to respond. Response time 3 hours-unacceptable -I would seriously have to consider whether I would use the

I just love this quaint hotel! Not your traditional hotel stay with a front desk and staff, but actually more like getting to live in your own little apartment during your Philly visit with a personal code sent to you to get into the building and your room. Very clean. Comfortable bed. The email/text communication with the staff Renee, Charm and Jen was so easy. The perfect place to stay when visiting our son at Penn. Will definitely stay here again!

We reserved this “Homes and Villas” for 5 days over the Thanksgiving weekend. We chose this home because it accommodated our party of 6 (2 queens and a sofa bed), looked nice from the pictures and looked to be in a conveniently placed decent neighborhood. On the plus side the communication we had with “UR Home in Philly” was very good. They answered all our questions in a timely manner and were very accommodating. Our initial impressions were favorable. A woman showed up shortly after our arrival and I wish I could remember her name because she was the one bright spot of our stay at this home. The support team of Renee, Gabrielle, Charm & Jenare are the only reason this place gets a second star. We planned a complete Thanksgiving feast while here and she tried to bring the kitchen up to a level sufficient to handle that. She came close, but we still had to buy roasting pans, a meat thermometer, spoons (kitchen only had one teaspoon) and trash bags (only one spare bag was given for the kitchen, and they were of a smaller size). After she left we started to discover the true quality of home. Website pictures are deceiving. The main floor closet has double door access, only one of which opens. There were a total of two adult hangars and some small children hangars in this closet; not adequate for 5 adults and a 10 year old. 8 of the ceiling pot lights were out. One pot light was coming away from the ceiling. All the walls were quite dirty. One corner had peeling drywall tape. The pendant lights the website shows over the kitchen peninsula are not there. The vertical blinds for the sliding glass door in the kitchen were not there: no privacy from the homes behind. The kitchen drain leaked (a bowl was in the cabinet beneath to catch the water so they knew of this problem) and the kitchen faucet was loose from the counter top. The cabinets are covered with contact paper that is peeling in multiple locations. Downstairs is where the two bedrooms and bathrooms are located. Water pressure for the showers was okay, but the sinks were just above a trickle and the toilets were very weak. One toilet was clogged when we arrived, but my wife was able to find a plunger and cleared it (Flush often when using these commodes). In one bathroom both the towel rack and toilet paper holder were torn off the wall. Even when in place the two towel racks (one in each bathroom) are only sufficient for one bath towel (for 6 people?). Also in the one bathroom the top drawer of the vanity was broken and did not open or close properly. In addition, every hinge creaked; which makes it impossible to be quiet when using the bathroom at night. After our first night there we found out that the sofa bed would not close. This, too, was an issue that must have been known because you could see that the one side had been worked on and assembled incorrectly. All this for $364.24 per night. We’d have been better off getting a hotel and dining out for Thanksgiving. We would have saved a lot of money and frustration. Again, on the bright side, the woman who came to the home in response to all these issues was as helpful as she was capable of being. Between us we were able to get the sofa bed closed. My son had to sleep on it as a sofa. We had brought an air mattress for my daughter so that need was covered. She brought a portable towel rack, stock pot and sauce pan which helped on Thanksgiving. She was also able to arrange for a plumber who came the day after Thanksgiving and fixed the kitchen drain, towel bar and toilet paper holder. I reserved this place because I am a Platinum Elite member of Marriott. I have always had great success with this chain, but this is the first time I have gone through their Homes and Villas. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and would NOT recommend 755 N. Capitol B to anyone. I plan on pursuing compensation for this poor quality and will update this review following those results. Two months later, not even a call. DO NOT STAY HERE. RIP OFF!
