Doesn't matter if you have the first available appointment and show up when they open, you'll be forced to wait behind other people. I ended up having to wait over 20 minutes past my appointment time at 8:10am. What's the point of having an appointment?

Collapsed vein. Google it. Very nice people here Always, but i was sent home with a bandage on my arm and a Collapsed Vein. I was unable to give blood because my vein collapsed. I WAS SENT HOME. 5 or 6 hours later i remove the bandage and blood squirts out like a video game. I PANIC... i tape my arm. I'm praying the vein doesn't give way and i have to go to emergency. I've never had blood leave me like that, i'm worried it'll happen again. I don't know if it is supposed to heal itself? I'm HOPING it's collapsed from what i read a Blown vein would have discoloration. YOU NEED TO GIVE ADVICE WHEN THIS HAPPENS! I'VE COME HERE FOR YEARS AND THIS HAS TURNED INTO A CONCERNING EXPERIENCE! THAT'LL BE MY LAST. *** The folks who work here are Always kind, Caring and really Nice.

The online registration system is annoying, but the donation process went smoothly

I've been here twice and both times it's been quick and easy! They are doing an effective job of sanitizing and enforcing social distancing rules right now. The phlebotomists and technicians are excellent.

No money, but you points for thier store...cloths, gift cards, stuff. And your helping people
No. Here is the answer on their website, "San Diego Blood Bank depends on the generosity of volunteer donors. Since studies have shown that the safest blood comes from volunteer donors, the State of California does not allow payment to donors for blood products intended for transfusion." https://www.sandiegobloodbank.org/does-san-diego-blood-bank-pay-donors
