We brought my 12 year old son through the emergency room for a broken arm. I was a little surprised that we had to wait to begin with, with his injury. They took X-Rays, wrapped it up and sent us home with a referral to an Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Merkyl. First of all, NOBODY of any orthopedic specialty , not even Dr Merkyl saw us while we’re were in the hospital. After leaving and calling Dr. Merkyl office, they wouldn’t see us because he doesn’t accept my sons insurance. It is to my understanding that as the Orthopedist on call, he has a legal obligation to see my son for 90 days after the injury as he was the on cal doctor for the hospital. The hospital itself is very dirty and old. We need to do better for our children.

If I could give this hospital a lower score, I would. My father has unfortunately been in a few hospitals and this is the worst one. 1. He went into ICU and then regular floor. He needed to go from the hospital to Rehab, they do the bare minimum and then drop the ball. For one week, the hospital submitted nothing, even though insurance told them to submit more information and they wanted to speak to the hospital doctor. They then discharged him, even though he is not healthy enough to go home, simply because they were not able to find him a rehab. They did nothing to help him get a rehab and when I called the day he was being discharged they said "We already sent the information to the rehab places, its on THEM to call us and get more information and deal with insurance." Zero care for the patients. We had been calling the social worker/case worker the whole week to see what was happening and they said they were taking care of it. We then called insurance and they said the hospital had submitted nothing. 2. My father hasn't showered for more than a week. Why? Because the doctor didn't submit it to the notes in the computer and even though he told the nurse verbally it was okay. This went on for days and nothing. 3. My father needs insurance to approve a CO2 mask before he goes home and they just discharged him saying you are fine. He went in because had too much CO2. Then as he is leaving they stop him (by the lobby) and say “you can’t leave without the mask, you need to stay and we will ask insurance to send you one”. Super incompetent. Departments don’t speak to each other. Social worker/case manager was very disappointing. Didn’t file the right things, pretended she did, and when I raised other concerns (like he hasn’t showered in a week!!), she said that’s the nurses, I can connect you to the nurse. And this is for someone who his family kept asking and calling, I wonder what happens to people who cannot advocate for themselves. I know nurses are overworked but this is from the top down a level of incompetence .

Amazing woman’s center, brought my wife here and the OB and nurses here were so caring, understanding and provided top line service to care for her and insure a smooth procedure. Can’t say enough good things about Dr Richardson and Dr Peskin!

almost one year ago my sister went in with covid they kept her over time and gave her unnecessary medication that she did not need, the doctors left bruises and hurted her very badly i have video proof of her also saying this before she passed, they was also threatening us if we did not put her on a ventilator they will no longer allow us to see her through facetime video calls, they also confiscated her cell phone so she can not make calls to us my sister was only 40 years of age when she passed away she left her 3 year old baby behind and her son that is very ill it is disgrace on how doctors and nurses treat people if i could leave 0 stars i would but unfortunately i cannot do that if anyone is interested in visiting in this hospital do not they caused my sisters death of her dying from a heart attack from the medication they gave her, we did also change her to a different hospital that they was also giving a hard time of, the new hospital we put her in told us she did no longer have covid and that was not the cause of her death it was from over medication she passed from a heart attack
