Camille Gordon did a fantastic job with my call. Since she needed someone else to assist because it required an an UW, she stayed with me on the phone and when placed on hold, she kept on checking up on me to continue to hold until the UW resolved the issue. She was very pleasant, attentive, and professional. Camille Gordon is an asset to UPCIC.

I mean really you raised my insurance 2,000 to 5,000. Triple I be paying 417. Per month. Yet no help this is my bathroom and sally claim nothing too. You guys are horrible. This bathroom is in no living condition. No toilet, sink mold. I spoke to Avian Allen cole which I send all my paper Sworn Statement I took off work and nobody had my papers I took off that day to get notarized. She has answered to my email, but no no help at all. On the other hand Email Francois Corridon no response which is horrible because why is he working if he can’t reply!! One year and still mold. I have children and they don’t care, yet they will raise your insurance if don’t get this resolved soon i be putting a complaint. I seem all my military friends get help but me why ?

We experienced extensive water damage in the kitchen and laundry room in July. We initiated an attempt to address the issue ourselves by calling in a plumber and contractor to replace our flooring. We even purchased the flooring for the job. Upon the recommendation of the contractor, we decided to contact Universal because the water damage was more extensive than we originally thought. The claim adjuster recommended water mitigation. The United Water Restoration Group came and put a dryer in the kitchen and left it here for almost a month. When they could get no response from Ms. Zapata or Universal on the next steps they came to reclaim their equipment. My husband and I tried unsuccessfully to work with Ms. Zapata. After numerous calls to Customer Service, she returned our call once. Since then we haven't heard a word from her. Customer Service finally told us about the online website where claims should be filed and documents uploaded. This was AFTER we sent numerous emails with our documents directly to Ms. Zapata as she instructed us to do. At no time did she tell us to use the website. All documents have been uploaded but still, there is no communication from Ms. Zapata on the status of our claim. It is now the second week of September. The continued disrepair of the kitchen and laundry room has become a severe inconvenience to my family to the point of dysfunction. We would like to know when the claim is going to be settled and what the next steps are for repairing our kitchen and laundry room floors. I am now contacting Shayla Jackson, Supervisor to see if she will intervene. I'll keep the public posted on our progress. VERY VERY VERY poor service.

As an insurance agent sometimes it's hard coming across reps who want to help you and know what they're talking about. Tashan Allen fulfilled both. Very knowledgeable and eager to help. Hoping that I can request to speak with her each time if possible b/c of her great service, thank you Tashan.

Probably paid for good reviews. After Hurricane Sally I had to file a claim,. When I looked at the google reviews I almost passed out. Nothing but negative reviews and from people that have had their homes insured by UPCIC for ten years plus. First claim and wam o.
Does insurance cover plumber and landscape
Did you ever receive your settlement yet
It costs more to replace a metal roof .. insurance only goes down when safety features are added...you upped the value of your property.. the security options are hit and miss...if you live in a high crime area, it can lower your rates s good bit, but not as much as you'd think. I selected all the security and safety features on my quote to see if they were worth having and they only changed my price by $12 a year...my metal roof raised it some because they have to consider the costs of rebuilding your entire structure as if it were new.
Universal is somewhat unique in that they will insure just about any property, regardless of it's distance to the coast. There are some limitations on this. I'm an insurance agent who has Universal as a product.
Universal will
Try using a VPN. I lived in the Netherlands for a while, and had problems with other sites. Using NordVPN solved the problem.
Universal is universal alright universally f*****-up they never come do what you need them to do and they give you some mundane reason why.
Yes, you’ll receive email verification approx 45 days prior to your renewal date.
Definitely they nearly double my rate every renewal until the point I couldn't do it any more and had to go to citizens insurance. Went from $1300 to $4300 over a 4 year or so period. Each renewal going up drastically. The biggest increases coming after the roof claim.
Yes call the agency listed on your policy
Hi Duncan, We do request email confirmation annually, usually 90 days before your coverage expires. The exception being when there has been activity within the last 120 days, in that case we do not ask for further confirmation that year. I hope this is helpful.
You're probably paid up a month or two in advance and it's about time to renew.
I think you may be referring to the 90 day "discovery period" that is based on FL Statute- Chapter 627. The policy is bound and in force on the day it is submitted by your agent however the carrier, Universal, is permitted the 1st 90 days to review the risk and make sure it meets all binding qualifications (supporting documentation, the inspection results, etc.). Not having ample time to review these items would put all carriers in a vulnernable position which would not be good for the industry nor for Florida homeowners overall. I hope that helps!
You need to speak to an agent about your policy and recommend changes
Yes
They just insure properties not vehicles
Not that I am aware of on my policy..but insurance is about as unpredictable as the weather.
Not the tank itself, just the damage the backed up water causes. And the verbiage would be specific. Only way to know would be to put in a claim.
Call a roofer and buy a new roof.
No
I believe they only have phone and fax. Main company was closed today due to hurricane. Not sure what they are doing with claims.
There is no clear answer. It depends on the circumstances.
I'm not sure about that but if the home is in danger of damage from water leaks, etc. I would definitely call and ask! They are interested in protecting your property.
In the state of Florida Universal HO policies have an exclusion for animal liability. I am not sure about other states.
You have to contact your insurance agent for information on that matter.
Good morning you need to read your policy to see what it covers. And call your agent
Only if it's damaged by a natural disaster or other event covered in your policy.
Yes I would look threw my policy . Good luck we just went threw Irma and this company offered a pay out way less than what we paid coverage for.
Typically that is what happens with Universal. I suggest getting a quote from Hiscox insurance company through Geico. They offer a better rate.
