It's awful here. I used to love my little spot. It seems like they are letting it go to hell on purpose. Nobody cleans anymore. Elevators have been out in a 4 story SENIOR building for a week now. IT'S NOT OKAY!

Worst management ever, do not waste your time. The person in charge of leasing office is a rude middle age women how thinks some how everyone own her something. Does not worth the time and the nerve, you can find other places way better than this one.

It's the best place a senior can live. Lowest rent . Cleanest apartments. I just love living here.

Affordable housing to start but then because of its "low income tax credit"status, the rents can be increased as often as the owner wants, with a 10% cap each time!

1 & 2 bedrooms. The 2 bedrooms just increased to approx. $1605. a month depending on you having Section 8 Credit Vouchers or just the LIHTC which can fluctuate depending how low your income is and then they may require a form signed by a relative guaranteeing financial assistance for remainder of your residency, even if that extra income stops! My issue now is my Social security is $2.00 a Month less then my rent. Management was informed 3 years ago of a decrease of $710.00 a month with the family help and still keeps raising my rent. To me and others in the same boat, this is elder abuse, specifically financial exploitation! One more increase and I will be homeless! HUD and County Housing have not accepted any new applications for years! Because of that form my family had to sign and Canyon Country not adjusting my rent accordingly to the decrease I get no housing assistance! Also for a short while the age was lowered to 47 years and also homeless families with children.
Well it depends on a couple of factors. They say it doesn't have to do with your income but say it's according to other factors. They call their formula the "affordable housing" factor (% of area median income)! They accept Section 8 Credit Vouchers (existing, no new applications accepted), plus other so-called housing assistance peograms. Recently, a new tenant told me she signed a lease in the amount of $945.00 a month for a 1-bedroom. The day she moved in she got a notice the amount had already increased! The lease does state rents can be increased whenever! My rent was suppose to be 60% of my net income, just recently it has now been increased to over 100% of my social security retirement and I do not qualify for any housing assistance! L.A. County has the highest rents in the country, especially for those of us with the lowest incomes! My suggestion, consider renting in any other county! Good Luck!
It is a pet friendly apt complex.
Goes according to your income, then they have a formula they use. Then after you sign the lease, the rent increases start. No longer "affordable housing", most seniors on limited income, if not receiving housing assistance, will end up, for a one bedroom, eventually being charged the max, at this time $1,065.00, give or take a dollar or two!
