Nothing like spending a birthday at the beach. Great weather. Neighbors were cool. No issues. My mom of 77 has a knee issue and going down to the water was tricky. When I left she couldn’t go to the water because there isn’t any pathways. Be prepared to climb some rocks.

Best spot for a staycation in ventura off high way 101 , your camping on the beach at the sand

First time I viewed this campground from the freeway I told myself that the "train" layout looked so awkward. But, now that we've stayed here several times, even though it looks like everyone's packed in here like a train (they are) you will have an amazing 170° view of the Pacific Ocean and beach from your front door. You're pretty much void of your neighbors to the right or left. Winter is the best opportunity to get a site because everyone wants to be here in the summer time. No electricity, water or dump but the stellar location makes up for it. JW Enterprises dump and fresh water trucks drive thru three times a week.

In California. As far as I know. You can't get your RV/trailer/motor home any closer to the beach. Other than driving on the sands of Pismo Beach. Excellent place to stay and clear your mind.

All sites are 46 foot long and sites 5 thru 18 ar actually the same length 46 ft but thhey are the widest do you can po ark at an angle and fit a fifth wheel comfortably
Yes trains go by at least 4,5 times during The day and 3 to 4 times at night.. At night about 1am there is one freight train that is really loud..
45ft long the width varies on where you are - super wide 1-19 19-the end are rock barrier sites
You're too far down to get beach access. Move to 30's to 90's to get good access
Yes if it 45 day ahead and 44 to 15 days you get half back or reschedule to another date
Tuesday Thursday and Saturday 40 to dump and 20 to fill with water
Maximum cumulative length of all single stays in any one campground is 30 days during peak season (1 April through 31 October) and 30 days during the off-season (1 November through 31 March) per calendar year. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive days in County parks. (with the exception of the Rincon Parkway and Bike Camping Areas). Campers at Hobson Beach Park, Faria Beach Park and the Rincon Parkway must vacate the park for seven (7) days after a single stay of any length before reentry to any beach park. All inland parks must be vacated for 48 hours after a single stay of any length before reoccupying the same park. Maximum cumulative length of all single stays in the County operated park system is sixty (60) peak season days and sixty (60) off-season days per twelve (12) month period, for a maximum of one hundred twenty (120) days total.
It isn't just firemen. There are multiple Facebook/social media sites that are dedicated to manipulating the spots. There are even a group of people that work at the Ventura government center that manipulate spots. The very people that we trust will handle the abuse are participating in the same abuse. There is so much abuse/manipulation that it is appalling. The problem is that there really is no reason for the county to take action because the spots are full, money is collected, and the problems affect so few people that our elected officials couldn't care less. Couple this with the fact that the people getting cheated are visitors to our county that just want to enjoy a few days at the beach. These are not County residents and they have little to no voice with the elected county supervisors. It is a very sad state of affairs that really speaks to the bigger issue of government officials not doing their job and no accountability to the public. Disgraceful
There are spaces. Come early and speak with a Ranger. If you're nice, so are they.
No, camper has to be self sustaining.
Yes..I believe they charge a little extra .you can see the amount on their website. Please be careful with your dog because you are parked on the old highway and there is non stop traffic I never bring my dog for fear he would run out (does not listen well)
It's pretty flat in Rincon. I only had to level 1in on one side. Just make sure you have chocks on all 4 wheels for safety.

The Class A Motorhomes sometimes run them all night, at an idle speed. Their generators cannot be stolen as they are locked in a cabinet in the chassis.
I would not advise that. You may find a spot that is open but it may be reserved via the site and that reservation is in route. They may arrive late and if someone is there, they must leave. Just checked website and all spots are full today... https://www.venturaparks.org/payment/
You have to climb down breakwater boulders to get to the sand. Some are closer than others but still a sketchy climb.
Yes at least cell service.
As far as I know yes. We actually had people from Oregon stay for about as long as you want. I'd suggest calling them, or booking and see how it goes. You're most likely to be able too.
No idea. We were there last week and heard rumors Rincon had been closed to rv's up until a coupe weeks prior. When they did open, they did every other space for about a week. When we were there, all spaces were occupied. Best bet is to stay in contact with county of Ventura. I made reservations almost 3 months ago and figured if there was going to be a problem they would email me. Watch your inbox.
No, you must have a raised fire pit/container, signs are clearly posted.
You can fish. Length depends on the specious. You need a license.
It says it's illegal for any family to have more than one account to make reservations
Nothing close or for overnight. Parking is only for RV and tow vehicle
Very nice and safe, the authorities patrol all the time
I have never seen anybody dumping their Gray water or anything from their RV or pop up tent on the ground. Gray water still a waste product..
Yes. 1st come first serve. Dec u should be good. Bring firewood.
Yes all spots are resevation only now.
They have changed their whole reservation process, so I'm thinking 14 days
The sites are 45 feet long .. You will fit if you disconnect and park perpendicular across your tongue .. 4 door long beds can be a challenge .. No additional parking except your site ..
No. Everyone pays the same amount and if you have any pets you pay for them also
Yes 1st come 1st serve, I've driven around and parked sometimes half A-day to try and get a spot
Everything must fit in your campsite .. There is no "overflow" area ..
I'm sorry I don't believe there are tents allowed because it's actually on pavement and cars drive right past you I'm sure it's for safety.
Yes I believe it's 11:00 a.m.
Great question, all the rocks were moved in to create a barrier from the beach.
Signs say no ground fires, but almost every campsite has a fire pit against large rock or piled stones. Have never seen any enforcement by Rangers etc for campfires.
No you can not connect 2 different rules .. You are subject to the rules on arrival ..
There's only 1 fee all year and I believe right now it's $28 a night.
Spots are 45 feet long. You may not purchase 2 sites, each site must have a self-contained RV. Not sure about max occupants.
The website is on the envelope at the metal kiosks, get one because you need to put the stub from the envelope in your window, EVEN if you pay online.
Always open.
I would check with the authorities
Hey there no camp host you just drop the money in the slot on a daily basis
There's a guy who brings his soup truck three times/week. $40.
You just drive through and grab an open spot. People leave at various times. There are metal tubes near the trash dumpsters with envelopes where you pay. You can pay online, website is on envelope. You must have a spot first with your RV in it before you pay.
North to South. #1 is furthest north or closest to Hobson campground and #125 is next to Faria campground
