Had a traumatic experience three and a half years ago. My PCP Doug Cummings dumped me at the doorstep of the ER when I 'd reacted badly to an increase in dosage of a medication he'd been prescribing in combination with two other meds. The doctor on duty at the ER talked with him by phone and they decided against my will to keep me for possible observation. I disagreed and prevailed, but not without unnecessary wear on my already challenged health. The ER doctor never caught the problem as the misprescribing, miscombining and overprescribing of meds. I was treated with an unwarranted measure of contempt and felt trapped like in a Kafka novel...guilty of an act for which I was being detained for no valid reason other than 'we decided to' because I'd broken a law?It has since been established that overprescribing of certain meds is subject to prosecution and loss of license. I have not stepped into that place since, except to file an addendum to my records. Mediocre care at best. I noticed in a review further down another poor soul who came to this ER for a similar issue was treated with contempt. Seems the arrogance is systemic.

I waited 4 hours and 20 minutes before giving up and going home. I now realize I’d be better off driving to LA or SF with that time spent, and getting a way better nationally rated hospital. Also, they have the news on in the waiting room, which isn’t a big deal, yet seems a bit counterproductive and …well… negligent or boneheaded. As if, ‘Let’s congregate ill people and show them pictures of war—that’s going to help.’ I’ve heard from others Cottage isn’t good, and from my very limited experience now, I concur.

Horrible hospital. I don’t recommend this one star establishment

The beloved Cottage Health Company that is touted as a company that does nothing but good is actually the most evil crooked unethical company that could possibly ever exist in Santa Barbara, CA. This company took great pleasure in abusing me for over 8.5 years (as an employee and patient) until I had a complete breakdown, but they didn't stop there. They even continued their harassment campaign once my doctor placed me on medical stress leave. I had lost 60 lbs, my confidence, my hair and my health after experiencing retaliation for reported serous racial remarks made by my co-worker that is ruled as federally illegal. I was exposed to highly illegal unethical misconduc

There is a last four #'s 9070. This is emergency & ICU
It may be best to follow up with your primary care physician. Physicians are not directly employed by the hospital so we’re not able to make private physician appointments. The Find a Physician tool on our website may be helpful in locating physicians nearby to contact directly for an appointment and medical consultation: http://www.cottagehealth.org/find-a-doctor/ There are also local urgent care centers who provide walk-up care. Please always call 911 in an emergency.
I'm sorry. I'm not exactly sure what your question is. Should you go to the hospital? Yes especially if it doesn't stop bleeding. Do they do a good job at the stitches? Yes. Or at least the doctor that stitched my head did. If it stops bleeding but you feel that you need to be seen in the day you could go to urgent care. But if you go to the you feel that you need to be seen in the day you could go to Urgent Care. But if you go to the hospital right now I would imagine there not very busy. Good luck to you. I hope you're finger feels better! If I didn't answer your question, you can ask again and I will see. I will come back and answer it right away.
Check with the doctor doing the procedure.
Specialists are generally on call. Don't know about dermatology but bet they have a list.
