Fantastic museum, truly unique pieces, with so many of them the current facility looks like it's about to explode with awesome stuff. I can't wait until the new venue is ready, and more people can experience what amazing progress in aerospace was made across Edwards and the rest of the high ranges. I'll have to come back and check that out.

Renee gave a mini tour and her knowledge of the history of this base was mind blowing. I'd love to go back and spend more time there learning about more of the history of Edwards.

Very cool! I brought my Dad, who was an engineer on test flights in 1956. He was so thrilled to see "his planes" & to exchange stories with another engineer who was also visiting. Well worth the drive. TIP: This place runs on donations. Going to a movie (tix, popcorn, drink) runs $15 per person. Consider donating at least that sum in exchange for the access & history this place includes with admission.

Closed to the public. Would have been nice to know before I drove 2 and a half hours to get there.

I would imagine if you have base access, yes.
That was a long time ago.
In 2021 there will be a big new museum outside West Gate.

You can also dedicate and donate a brick which will then be placed at Century Circle or walkway at the site of the new museum. The new museum's foundation is outside the gates at Edwards so the general public can have access. https://www.afftcmuseum.org/century-circle-paver-program
