Beautiful place with lots to do nearby. Hiking, boating, exploring nearby historic Hinton. Comfortable cabins, lovely views, quiet solitude. A good base from which to explore the region.

Staying in the cabins was well worth it. There is also a lot of places worth viewing. Proximity to Hinton makes local shopping a good option too.

Beautiful state park with hiking trails, camping, and a lake. Bluestone Lake is accessible to boats and fishing. Nice gift shop and clean bathrooms are located in the park.

Went on the Overlook Trail - definitely a moderate hike, lots of uphill and some thicker foliage/debris on the path but beautiful little overlook and some fun wildlife around. Definitely watch out for deer ticks. …

Yes. And the lake is quite large & beautiful. Very scenic.
Yes you do but I just looked it up and instead of buying a year pass they sell one day passes for $3.00, so if you would just need it for the weekend or a couple days that would prolly be the cheapest way to go.
It was closed a couple of weeks ago. The pool at Pipestem was open.
Yes some of them are pet friendly, there beautiful and I'd really recommend staying there. I'm going for a week soon
They have cabins and lodge rooms
West Virginia still uses rural route mailing type addresses. Your GPS will find it using the name of the park.
First building in park
Some of the cabins are pet friendly and there was a $40 one-time fee for taking our dog this year. I saw people with 2 or 3 dogs with them at their cabins. Hope that helps!
Verizon is the only reliable WiFi for phones at these cabins.
There is picnic area but I did not go over to see it. I was mainly camping at the park and fishing in around Ansted. It is a state park and all the one that I have camped at usually have shelters. You may want to call the park first. They do rent them out for family functions.
Some cabins have wifi, I'm not sure exactly which the office would be able to tell you when you make reservations
Did not camp but I imagine about $15 a night very beautiful place get a nice cabin there in Hinton for $75 a night
Anywhere in WV where there is mountains and people throwing trash out there is bears ! Especially a state park where you cant hunt....
You can go on the website. I believe the prices for everything in on there....or call. Not sure if anyone is there in the off-season however?!
And today and
When we camped last October, it was about $60 for two nights (trailer with electric and water).
