The pier itself is pretty nice, and it wasn’t too crowded the day we went. Fishing was decent and we had a good time. The reason I can’t give it more than three stars is that the bait shop is terrible. They have almost no tackle and very little bait. When we arrived, the lady in the store said that they should be arriving around noon. We went ahead and bought squid, which I hate, and we made it work. But when we went back to the shop around 1 PM, they still didn’t have any shrimp. Walmart is 10 minutes away and was fully stocked with frozen shrimp. If your bait delivery vendor is this unpredictable, you should at least make a Walmart run to buy some bait to sell to your patrons. It’s unacceptable to go to a pier, pay like 12 bucks to park, lug all your gear up there, and then find out they have no bait. We were told that one of the workers that normally is in the bait shop was out on the pier fishing. If he has time to fish, he has time to go find bait to sell. A pier this size in this location should be better managed in my opinion.

Nice location, sightsee, fishing, has a bar/restaurant at the entrance (Bennies on the Beach). Just a dollar gets you on the pier.
