Starling at nocatee of San Jose is a wonderful joke please do not consider working here . I had applied for the job at starling of nocatee and I got an offer . I was referred to go to the other facility to fill out paperwork I left a voicemail several times I told the woman whoever she was that I couldn’t come the day I needed to come . So I came that day I could she was informed once I got there the lady at the front desk said to me she left early for the day but she knew that I was coming in an the time to expect me . The lady also told me to fill out an application but I didn’t need to because of the simple fact of my application was already faxed over from the other facility in nocatee!!! However I ended up leaving that facility weeks later I applied again an let’s just say the woman didn’t like how people express how they feel in a respectful response I couldn’t get the job it’s not a good facility anyway too many turnovers an you would think management is doing what they need to be doing but on the other hand they aren’t . I came to Jacksonville fl with my children to get things done but this company here isn’t it DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONES HERE EITHER OR APPLY HERE PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH !!!

My mother was one of the first residents at Starling in Jan 2019. She came from another independent living facility in St. Johns County, where she was not happy with management, meals and the living conditions. We looked at a number of different facilities in Duval and St. Johns counties, and it seemed all of them were tired, spent, and pretty expensive given the quality. Then we found Starling through some of their early marketing mailers passed along by a friend. We took a tour, and Mom was sold immediately. She moved to Starling within 30 days. From the day she moved to Starling, everything changed for the better...her attitude shifted to extremely positive. The Starling management and staff went above and beyond from day one. They made sure she was settled into another unit as her original unit was being outfitted safely and properly. The meals were outstanding (I've dined with her many times). Weekly housekeeping made sure her unit was always organized, clean and sanitized. The price was affordable, and rents were held stable throughout the pandemic. Their handling of the pandemic situation was remarkable, with very few cases of COVID. The few cases that were noted seemed to be quarantined quickly and managed properly, and management was in constant communication with residents and families. While we were unable to visit much during the pandemic quarantines, we believed Mom was in good hands, and Kerri and staff maintained constant communication. We moved our Mom three years later, in February 2022, to be closer to other family members. It was a positive experience the entire time for Mom and our family. When it came time to move, Kerri went above and beyond to make the move easier, and working closely with us to find replacement tenants quickly and easily. If you're looking for a newer, clean, excellent facility for a family member, you should consider The Starling at Nocatee. Hopefully it can be as positive an experience for your family as it was for ours.

We were considering moving to these facilities, unfortunately our experience on 9 July 2021 did not match the positive reviews on this web site. We were greeted by the most unfriendly and arrogant receptionist whose poor attitude was enough for us to leave the place immediately. Her actions reflect very poorly on Sterling. Very bad vibes!
