Excellent road side restaurant. Cooked right in front of you. Depending on the time, you might stand in line, but well worth the short wait. If you have the chance, highly recommend. The peppers 🌶 are flame!

We wanted to stop at this iconic polish and hot dog place since we watch the TV show "Somebody feed Phil". We've got the all beef polish sausage and it was gross.... I don't understand why people like it. The onions was not cooked enough, the sausage was dry.

Best Polish Hot Dog you can find locally. Nice juicy Polish. NOTHING BEATS JIM'S not even Portillos' Expensive and Salty Maxwell Hot Dog. For a Bonus.....Fries included. Sweet Grilled Onions mmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmm!!!!!OUTRAGEOUSLY YUMMY!!!! But just don't try these Peppers they are super spicy. But still, A trillion times better than Portillos It's either GO BIG OR GO HOME

Apologies for the ugly pictures but that's what they looked like out of the bag. They weren't pretty food! But they are tasty. The polish dog was very yummy. I keep wanting more meat from the pork chop burger. It definitely was worth the trip over there.

All employees are wearing masks. Food handlers are wearing gloves. Customers are expected to social distance and wear masks. All food is served in bags through our windows as is customary.
I'm not sure if they accept Google Pay, but they gladly accept cash and credit / debit cards.
Jim's Original Founder's Day is always the second Monday in July. This year it is today, July 8. Since it is our 80th anniversary year we are selling our Polish Sausage sandwiches for 80 cents until 7 p.m. today only.
It is a pork and beef polish sausage custom made to Jim's recipe. The beef polish was introduced in 2002.
$2 Polish Sausage 3pm-5pm, Monday-Thursday, February Only
Used to be located on Halsted and Maxwell years ago. Moved by the City for UIC campus, but the food is the same.
Yes
Sit on the curb near the expressway and watch all the rats in the grass. The city should put a Hawk nest on the expressway grass
