Love this farmers market. Reminded me of the one I used to go to in NYC Union Square . I just move to the area and discovered it while walking my two Jack Russell Terriers

This place is a real gem in our city. You support this place and other vendors that assist every Saturday. I do enjoy buying vegetables, waking around and connecting with wonderful people.

I love this market. Great produce, delicious empanadas, and a bbq brisket booth to die for!

As always, the best park in town!

SNAP is accepted at Legion Park and we also offer the Fresh Access Bucks (FAB) program where we double double up to $40 for fresh Florida produce. SNAP and FAB are also accepted at the Adrienne Arsht Center market monday nights and Tropical Park market on Saturdays. Bee Heaven farms at the Pinecrest Market also accepts SNAP and FAB on Sundays.
Yes
We do occasionally when they are in season. We did not have any to my knowledge this week, but there are three farmstands in the market to ask at- Nature Boyz Juice often has them, or try Little River Cooperative and Urban Oasis Project booths.
The park has a big lot, and there’s a small lot on Biscayne
I don't know. You may ask for Art. He is the organizer.
Vendor applications are on the website urbanoasisproject.org
Yes...oasis
Sorry I don't know why it says open, I'll check. Due to the pandemic, the City closed all events, we are in process trying to reopen on October 24th.
Of course! Urban Oasis usually has three types, and Little River Coop as well. Also lots of other fresh greens- collards, arugula, chard, etc.
All of the information and the vendor application is on the website at urbanoasisproject.org.
Most fruits and veggies sold are certified organic. They should all be labeled as to farm origin, growing practices, and price. All non-local veggies are certified organic. Some local veggies may be conventionally grown if we can not find organically grown or sustainably grown sources. We define sustainably grown as "grown by a farmer we have vetted who uses all organic practices- no pesticides, herbicides or conventional fertilizers". We do encourage everyone to ask at our individual vendors and definitely at other farmers markets. We have seen a lot of markets in Miami that don't care at all.
Prices vary widely by season and product, every week there are at least 100 different fruits and vegetables available, so prices are not listed beforehand. We do accept SNAP and double the benefits for FL grown fruits and veggies, so we try hard to make reasonable prices even more affordable for anyone. There are over 30 vendors, so prices vary around the market.
