It is a perfect Italian restaurant. It is a big rarity to find original Italian dishes in the US. My husband and I came there to try cacio e pepe pasta. But it was an unpleasant surprise to see that there is no more such a pasta in Il Porcelino. But the chef was so nice that agreed to make cacio e pepe special for us and it was perfect. As tasty as we did try in Rome. Also they had a caprese salad which was made from very fresh tomatoes and basil, mozzarella tasted like a home-made one. After all beauty is in simplicity. The staff was very pleasant, mindful and knowledgeable 😇 I really do recommend this restaurant for everyone who wishes to spend a warm nice evening with family or friends.

This is my first review I’ve ever made and I just had to say this was the best food I’ve ever had!! The vibes of the restaurant is so so cute and moody it’s amazing, I got the vodka pasta and I will dream about it for the rest of my life, we also got the garlic bread. Everything was so amazing! Highly recommend the vodka pasta I wanted to take home the sauce. Amazing

Il Porcellino is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. It’s located just off Michigan Ave and is in walking distance of all the main attractions. This past time at Il Porcellino, we got calamari as our appetizer. It was fantastic! It was fresh, not too fried and out quickly. My dining companion got ORECCHIETTE and she loved it! I got the ROASTED CHICKEN PENNE. There was plenty of chicken and the creamy sauce was very tasty. I had enough for lunch the next day. The restaurant itself is very cute and well decorated. The waitstaff was wonderful and helpful. Overall, if you’re in Chicago, this is a must try!!

Beautiful restaurant with an amazing staff! The food was absolutely delicious, I highly recommend getting one of the loads of bread and a salad to split with your table. This restaurant is budget friendly with very reasonable prices.
