We live down the street and prefer this beach over the others in the community. It's quiet and peaceful. There usually aren't a lot of people there and that's why we like it. When the tide is out, you can walk out pretty far and find some …

Went walking today on a cloudy day. What a delightful park. Trails were well marked and very well maintained with narrow board walks through the muddy parts. Walked around the pond and down to the beach. Delightful. Dog friendly also. We saw a box turtle and deer.

Great Nature walk around the pond. Abundance of wildlife. Nice area to view the bay and mouths of the adjacent rivers.

Lovely trails through woodland along the bay with beach area. Relatively handicap friendly as you can drive someone down to the beach and drop off. Then a short distance to beach. Can't park near beach. Fishing pond with trails as well.

I can't speak to the gate being closed because I've never had that problem. With that said, the conowingo dam was released recently which does affect the beach. The last time it was released there was quit a bit of debris on the beach and parts of it were closed. Local agencies often suggest not being in contact with water within 48 hours after rain because of possible contaminated run off either. Just food for thought.
You also have to check water quality even before wading. Don't ever go in bay or river/estuary water with any broken skin. Check online.
Yes
Beverly Triton Nature Park is currently under construction that is estimated to last 13+/- months. No parking is available and the front entrance is closed as that is where the majority of the construction will be taking place.
Yes, dogs on leashes and the water is calm and you could definitely wade in.
I only saw a few crabs a lot of jelly fish. Just be cautious
No, county code prohibits the use of metal detectors on public lands owned by Anne Arundel County.
No hunting is allowed in the park. There are managed hunts that happen very occasionally. All hunters must go through AACO Deer Management Program
Yes
Fishing 24/7, from the shore to the breakers, the water is nice and calm and quite, an ideal place to fish
Yes. There are several options in the Parole/Annapolis area which is just a few minutes away. Not sure about Edgewater specifically.
I'd say about a quarter mile. No benches on the beach, but there are a few along the trail overlooking the beach
There's a very small parking lot that's that's open all the time
But come early because it will close when at capacity.
