This is a great short family hike. The kids absolutely love feeling like adventurers as they explore all of the rocks. The view can't be beat locally. We always go on colder days because I'm pretty confident that during the summer, it wouldn't be a great idea to let kids climb so freely through the cracks and crevices of the boulders because of the local venomous snake population.

Short hike to the overlook. About half a mile. Nice little hike for the end of the day, or to warm up for the start of your day. Beautiful view you can see for miles. Great spot to bird watch. Bring your gear!

An easy hike from the parking lot to the top of the mountain. The view of the valley is grand and beautiful.

Was a nice hike to the top of the mountain. At the top there are rocks for you to climb on to sit and watch the birds or look at the view. It rained earlier in the day so it was super buggy and a little slick!

It's about half an hour to the top lookout. But it is quite a climb up boulders when you reach the top. Lots of big rocks to climb over on the trail. A definite workout
I've never had any trouble getting a parking spot. There are a couple lots up close to the summit. Gravel parking, nothing fancy.
I agree, I was just there a couple weekends ago and a few different groups went by with dogs. Dogs and owners alike were having a fantastic time.
