As far as I know, you can park your car there and leave in a different vehicle if that's what you mean. If the cab enters the actual parking lot, they will have to pay whatever fee for the time they are in there, but you can walk out of the garage and have them pick you up there to avoid that part. And of course you'll be paying for an extra day of parking for coming the day before. There always seem to be cruises going in and out, so I don't think anyone would be monitoring when your cruise actually leaves or trying to stop you from parking just because you're a day early. Hope it helps.

The car rentals are at least 4-6 miles away. I remember seeing Hertz and Budget close to the downtown hotels. If you drive, you'd have to park and pay at the port, and it gets pricey. Recommend taking a taxi, Lyft, or Uber to the port instead of trying to park at the terminal.
