Their shop is tiny and cute setting. Their pantries and cakes are tasty and pretty. Also they have sandwiches, savory options. We got whole pastrami sandwiches, that was pretty big and enough for 2 peoples. They are covid continuous, no indoor seating for now. There are 2 small tables in front of the shop. All servers wear masks.

Nice to find some baked goods that reminds me of Sweden. They had Semla (even though it was not the season for it). The semla was a smaller size, so not quite the massive buns I am used to from Sweden. It was also slightly dry. The princess cake and chocolate cake were really great though.

This place is jumping, if you want to get quality made Scandinavian bakery items this is the place. I went on a Saturday afternoon and most of the assortment of bread was sold out except for the French bread. I picked an assortment of princess cake, semla and some cardamom knots to take home. For lunch I got a breakfast sandwich with fresh made roll, an omelette square and some veggies and pesto. It was delicious all of it! It's official - I'm in love! 😍

Have had this place on my list for awhile and finally made it there! It’s not in a very busy area, but a short walk from Fremont and you can sit by the canal. They didn’t have indoor dining so I took mine nearby to eat. I had the open-faced salmon sandwich which was very tasty! I liked the rye bread, but wish it had been a tad bit more toasted. I also shared the lingonberry pinwheel with a friend and that was amazing served warm! The cardamom latte was pretty good as well, but there are other coffee shops in the area that I think are better. I will go back to try their huge selection of baked goods.

They do offer sandwiches and Quiche. Look them up on their website byenbakeri.com.

I never asked. I am gluten intolerant, ate 1/2 a caprice on baguette and didn't bother me.
