The staff is awesome but trying to create an appointment with change of address was a nightmare. Definitely something that needs to be looked into documents wouldn't upload. I just wish you could do all at 1 place also!

If you can, avoid renewing your license online!! I’m on week 4 of waiting for my new license. I was told it shipped out 7/26… and it’s now 8/16. When I just called and asked for more information all I got was a rude woman on the phone who told me they just extended my temporary ID. They should have some sort of tracking or at least be able to provide me with a little bit more information. Instead, I got attitude and short responses with someone on the phone. Lovely customer service!!

Can't even talk to a person over the phone

Tons of people there, they got everyone through as fast as possible, if you had all your stuff like your supposed to, & were ready to go.

No, the written driving test can be taken at any time. A drive test does requirement an appointment.
I am pretty sure when my son took his test the examiner said it was an automatic fail.
Early morning would be your best bet
No, this location only issues driver licenses and IDs. The Lancaster County Treasurer at 625 N 46th St issues license plates.
DMV
625 North 46th Street
No, first time registration can only be done in person or through the mail.
Provide two pieces of mail to your current address, your old ID card, and go into the 500 W O st.
If your license has been expired for more than one year, you may be required to take a written, vision, and driving skills test. If you have a Class O Nebraska driver's license that is less than one year expired or a valid license from another state, you can renew online or in person without testing. See our website at https://dmv.nebraska.gov/dl/driver-license for more information about driver's license requirements and renewal.
yes you need a birth certificate and two peices of mail from the same address with your name on it. . .
28 and change
Every applicant is subject to a skills test if requested by an examiner, but they only ask you to take one if there are previous requirements on your record, (which you would have been made aware of) or if it appears necessary to test your ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. The only you would have to test in relation to a traffic citation would be if you received enough points to get revoked; or if it was reported to us that we may need to investigate your ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, which you would have been made aware of previously as well.
You only need to schedule a drive test in Lincoln, Omaha & Bellevue. All other Exam Stations are first come first served. You can schedule your drive test at https://dmv.nebraska.gov/make-appointment-class-o-drive-test
You are able to take a practice test online. However, you must take the test in person to obtain and LPD.
This would be at your local county treasurer. In Lincoln, that would be at 625 North 46th.
Probably about 2 weeks
They are available at exam stations, if you ask, they are not sitting out. Thank you.
If changing address you need 2 forms of current address with your birth certificate, or passport, or green card.
500 W O st, Lincoln, NE expect to wait approximately one hour or more

Wes, Since your last name begins with M, you will need to call 531-800-4687 to schedule a drive test.
Rob, you will need to go in person to take a written test and then schedule your drive test one you have passed your written test. Since your last name is Wright, you will need to call 531-800-3140 to schedule your drive test in Lincoln.
Mark, you can contact the Exam Station, 402-471-0017 or, keep in mind that the Executive Order is still in effect. Once that is lifted, you then have 30 days after that to obtain a driver's license.
Maybe. You might just need proof of insurance.
Nebraska only issues Real ID compliant credentials and has done since 2013. This means, if you have a valid Nebraska driver's license or state identification card, it is Real ID compliant. Just look for the gold circle with a star in the upper right corner of your ID.
As soon as you pass the written test, they will help you schedule a drive test. Now days it is not easy to get both on the same day.
No, it will be closed
No
They have converted to appointments o ly now. Go to: dmv.nebraska.gov and search for the west O location. From there you can make your appointment and select the time you desire
Yes
West O will do registration renewals. If you are bringing a car from another state you have to go to the 46th & R location for the sheriff's VIN inspection
If it is a full 5 year I.D. then it would cost $26.50. A list of fees can be found at: https://dmv.nebraska.gov/dl/state-identification-card
Current drivers license from whichever state, official copy of birth certificate, official marriage license if married, 2 pieces of any mail addressed to you at your new address.
No. Better get there today, or wait until the 26th
You need to go to either the 500 West O location, or the 625 North 46th location for an ID in Lincoln. No ID documents are issued from the downtown location.
No
1i l. And 9 ft. Y k.
You can renew your license online... no need to visit dmv.
I have never heard that before. A certified birth certificate is leagal, period. It doesn't expire.. And yes, you need your birth cert to get a learners permit. Go to a different dmv. There are 2 in Lincoln.
That would be best to ask the office, since there are other things to consider when it comes to getting a permit.
No you have to go to 625 N 46tb to the Sheriff for inspections. Sorry
You can every other time. So as long as it wasn't renewed online last time you're ok to do now. If you have moved you will need to be able to scan in two documents that must show you name, address and a date less than 90 days ago. One you have done so online, you can take your email confirmation to the local DMV and get your 30 day temporary license. Hope this helps.
