Have not gotten my tired self down there to actually do anything, the building and surrounding area are clean lots of parking places and trees around the building, glad my last name is not Kowalski in regards to the icy interaction from the receptionist, or things would of been worse, as more energy is produced from a laugh then a scream . I would not recommend this as a renting spot to Afro-Americans. The treatment I received was very harsh to say the least. I had a Sweet 16 celebration .One of the two employees that was monitoring the building shadowed me and my guests nearly all night long, even threatening one that the police would be called out if she didn't move her vehicle from a certain area , keep in mind she was only there for a short while dropping off food. Aside from the 1 hour to decorate and 1 hour to clean up afterwards The employee came in right at 5 mins before my even t was scheduled to end and turned on the lights which was very rude due to my already having advised the DJ that the event was about to end and to make that announcement for me. I am a 42 yr. old well respected mother and wife, not a 3 yr. old child who needed to be monitored closely , for goodness sakes this was a sentimental event not a" Mother May I" type of party, where I had to ask permission to use almost everything , I paid in full for my time to enjoy myself and my guest not be harassed about every little thing. This particular employee also went as far as accusing my family member of putting hands on him but why wasn't the police called out? That is if you felt threatened, so again this was not true at all. They also made accusations that the trash was not emptied , when in fact it was. The center has a video that records 24 hours a day so they can see where the garbage was taken out by my family and friends. I was given a checklist that indicated everything was properly handled accordingly, before I was addressed the next business day regarding this matter. Lastly, My event planner felt as though she was rushed to decorate , by one of the staff members rushing her to finish her decorating even though she was paid by myself for any extra time needed using my security deposit . I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I went through with the harsh treatment so I say it again , I would NEVER recommend them to anyone of my race.
