The advisor's role is to guide the plan sponsor through the due diligence process pertaining to the company retirement plan. To present transparent data and options across recordkeepers, fund managers, third party admin etc. Secondly, the 401(k) advisor is hired to communicate and educate the participants about the retirement plan.
It is our ability to match customer objectives/services to fair pricing. Most companies have a sliding scale on asset based fees, commissions etc and a very one size fits all approach. by gathering the information in advance, we can determine if we are a good fit or point you in the right direction. We make sure you get what you pay for and if you don't require certain services, we remove them from pricing.
Similarly to the process for a financial plan, it starts with a brief introductory call to define the scope of the relationship. Our pricing is transparent and related to services offered. For an existing plan usually we just begin with a plan level investment statement, number of participants and annual contributions to the plan.
