I love the Southport Fire Department! My husband had a stroke a year ago and was paralyzed on his left side. He is 83, 6'2 and 250 lbs. He has fallen 3 times and every time he falls I have to call the Southport Fire Department to come get him up off the floor and back into his wheelchair. They are the nicest people in Southport and I don't know what I would do without them. Thanks to all of you paramedics!

SPT Fire and Rescue installed smoke detectors for free at my home! The 3 house is full of kind and dedicated men and women! I'm thankful for them and keep them in my prayers

No, the station itself does not have a siren. Of course our trucks do but the only facility in Southport that has a siren is Duke Energy Nuclear Plant.
