4 Less Smog Check- STAR Station

What a shame to watch this business go downhill after years of reputable service. The website states $48 smog check for newer model vehicles plus certification fee. I was charged $108 and would have gone somewhere else had I not already trusted this place from past good experience. New ownership/ management and people living on the property. Caveat emptor, I will NEVER go back.

Went in for a smog check and found out they do detailing as well. Robert did a great job cleaning and detailing my truck for a good price. He paid attention to detail and made it look great both inside and out.

Apparently, they are under new management. The prices have doubled since the last time I smogged my car here 2 yrs ago. It's now $80 to smog and $40 to retest. Unfortunately, my car failed the smog test for the first time ever. Granted... The young guy who helped me was nice and informative. He told me what part to get and even told me to come back to him when I get it, and he'll put the past on for me for free. (As he should, with the outrageous price he's charging). But... he'll also only charge me half-price to retest. Wow! Pay full price to fail and half price to pass. Well... it was real while it lasted. This will most definitely be the last time this place sees me. $80 is way too much for a smog. And aren't most retests free???
