I've been using this Rite Aid Pharmacy for prescriptions for many years. Unfortunately, the management of the pharmacy has become a mess. I have specific prescriptions that have been filled here for a long time. I now have my prescriptions confused because they have the same name but different dosages, and unfortunately, they want to argue when they've filled the wrong dosage, it's in front of them in black and white, this never happened before. There is only one staff member in the pharmacy who remains, she is terrific, the others seem to be untrained, they can't keep the same people at the counter, lots of turnover, and they can't keep up with the demand. This never happened when Jay was the pharmacist. Tried to talk to the current pharmacist, he is arrogant and pretentious. I take medications that are prescribed to me because of health conditions, I am very serious about my health, this pharmacist has no interest in my health.

We've been loyal Rite-Aid customers for more than 20 years, but recently we have had some customer service issues with the Pharmacy staff at the Rite-Aid location at 1301 Munras Ave, Monterey, CA 93940. I have several prescriptions that I have filled a this pharmacy each month, and over the past couple of years the service at this Pharmacy has declined quite a bit. We have been having issues in getting my medications filled on time at this location, and every month the Pharmacists gets one of my prescription confused with another. Today, June 21st, they turned me away and told me to come back tomorrow, even though the automated system told us that the prescription was ready today, At first, the Pharmacist said that it was "too soon," to fill the prescription today, but after I reminded them that I have two prescriptions under the same name, the Pharmacist said that they would fill the prescription, and asked us to wait. However, after waiting for 15 minutes, the Pharmacist changed course and told us that they couldn't fill it until tomorrow, even though I am out of my medication today. Furthermore, this year alone, the Pharmacy staff has gotten my prescriptions confused four times, and even tried to give my wife someone else’s prescription one time. We have never had issues with any other Rite Aid store except for this one, so I hope that the issue is at this location only.

Acceptable selection and prices for a drug store. Unfortunately slow and disengaged employees. In their defense, they appeared burnt out and understaffed.
