If you have a question or anything the front desk will do her best to ignore you.. ask for just a shred of humanity they'll spit in your face with a smile on. (HOW EVER THE SERCURITY GUARD THERE HES PROFESSIONAL HE SIMPLY DOES HIS JOB ASK HIM FOR SOMETHING HE WILL HELP YOU GRANTED IF HE CAN HES NOT GOING TO CHANGE TIRES AT LEAST I DON'T THINK HE WILL. THE STAFF THOUGH THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE BOTHERED THEY JUST WANT TO GRAB A PAYCHECK AN DO NOTHING ALL DAY LONG

I've been at Merrick Street for nearly a year, and my experince has been truly amazing. Spectrum staff members are caring, well-educated and passionate about helping each client on an individual basis. The level of care far exceeds that of other programs. I started my 'journey' at Sisters of Providence in Holyoke, and (apart from my clinician -- who was amazing!), it felt like conveyor-belt-style care. Now, that was a 2-hour round-trip commute every morning, but Information about Spectrum (20 minutes away) was hidden from me (despite my inquiries) for months because it was a separate organization and they likely didn't want to lose me as a paycheck -- I mean patient. Spectrum is the total opposite. It has changed my life. I wasted years fearing a program, and the stigma attached. But I realized-- since I was already dealing with the stigma of having fibromyalgia and chronic pain, it made no difference, and I needed to try -- for me. Since entering, I have met so many incredible people, shared and heard many incredible stories, and in a way, I am proud to be part of something so positive.
