Amazing food, amazing service ✨

TLDR: Food was pretty good but the service was truly terrible We’re visiting from Providence for our anniversary and were looking for a nice spot for dinner. Ciro & Sal’s came highly recommended. We showed up ~15 mins early because we wanted to eat before our newborn started to get fussy and we were luckily seated right away. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there. Our waitress came over almost immediately after we were seated, told us about two appetizer specials, and asked us if we were ready to order our entrees before we had even opened the menu. Needless to say we were not ready. After we ordered our food (first, second, and third course), all three courses came out at the same time within just a few mins of ordering. The waitstaff made it abundantly clear that they didn’t want us, or our newborn, at their restaurant. When we asked for our check, “their computers went down” so we waited longer for the check than we did the food. Two stars because the food was actually very good. Minus three stars because the service was beyond subpar for a place with $50 entrees.

My wife and I went to Ciro & Sal's last night and were consistently disappointed with everything we ordered. The first tip-off was the bread, which tasted just slightly past its prime and seemed like something I could buy as "Italian bread" at the local supermarket. We ordered two appetizers: artichokes "romelli" and a beet/goat cheese salad. The artichokes tasted like they came from a can (which I believe they were) with some utterly tasteless prosciutto mindlessly and unevenly thrown in. The salad was okay, but nothing special. For main courses, my wife order their 'signature' dish Pasta Abruzze which featured lost of shellfish and I had cod with mushrooms, peppers, etc. The Pasta was overly salty and unpleasant and all the shellfish were loaded with sand. This is totally unacceptable for a $46.00 entree. The cod was close to awful. It was a hunk of tasteless, characterless fish (the type hardly mattered) in a "sea" of awful sauce full of rather sour vinegar. It came with a side of spaghetti. The noodles were perfectly cooked, but the meaty sauce was utterly tasteless. This is a rather expensive restaurant serving food that is probably on a par with corporate fast food (aka Olive Garden). I virtually never write negative reviews, but I felt that I needed to write this given the cost of the food. I will say that the outdoor seating is absolutely magnificent and the service was very good. So, come for the atmosphere, but avoid the food.

What I'd add: there seems to be a small side street or driveway next to the restaurant. Don't go that way. It'll lead you to a dead end with nowhere to turn around and about 300 tight feet of backing up.
There may be a single step just inside the main door. Part of the dining room is down several steps.
About$26... I went there for mother's day it was 8 of us we got 2 apps cocktails 2 kids meals 6 adult meals and dessert came to$347
