This shop has a large number of bikes to choose from and a great location to get to the National Sea Shore trails. However, after hopping on the bike and riding about a block away, I noticed my seat was set too low (the attendant didn't actually set the seat hight, just gave me the bike). So, off we rode....until my seat seemed to be lowering itself. I reset it again, rode off for a half mile into the park. I needed to adjust it again and I noticed when I looked behind me, the actual seat twisted with me. I adjusted the seat yet again and noticed the washer was very warn. I did what I could, but it did continue to lower itself. Upon returning from our 2 hour trip through the National Sea Shore, I reported what was happening to the return attendant. He put it back into circulation. I also mentioned that when I got on the bike I immediately ended up with wet shorts - the seat acts like a sponge and it had rained the entire day before. He knew that would happen. I'm sure they all do. But why not either cover the seats or not rent out those types of bikes the day after? I rode 10 miles with wet shorts and the attendant didn't seem to care - about either issue. Be aware of what you're renting and if you rent after a rain, don't rent a bike with a soft seat - it's a sponge!

Update: The owner reached out to me and processed my refund. Updated the score to match. The electric bike I got was broken, it kept popping and sending my feet off the pedals. I got a half an hour out and couldn't take it anymore. I brought back the bike to the shop and asked for a refund for my bike. They told me they put the refund through but only refunded me for the extra two hours I had bought in advance. No big deal that the bike was broken but it was shiesty that they weren't clear what they were refunding me for.

Love this place. They really helped us out when we had a bike accident. Top notch. Jacob in particular was a real gem.

There were 4 of us renting a bike from Provincetown Bike Rentals. It was very affordable, quick and easy process. The staff takes the time to educate you on how to use the bike and provided you a map. We'll be renting from them again next year!
