An EMHC was "blessing" the stuffed animals of two kids during Communion. Isn't that liturgical abuse? EMHC's cannot bless anything, and stuffed animals shouldn't be receiving a Eucharistic Blessing.

I attended the 11:30 mass on 6/26 and was horrified at the ultra conservative homily! The priest said no less than 5x that our calling as parishioners is to get married and have children (!!) and at one point called out Georgia Tech University as needing religion. The final straw for us was when he told us that we needed to have as many babies as possible. We literally stood up and walked out, simply appalled. We were seriously considering the school as an option for our two girls, and now simply would not subject our children to this. And to be honest, looking around at this mass, there were very few families with children older than toddlers - wonder why!?! We are so very sad, as we've been a long-time Catholic school family and are relocating to Greensboro. We had very high hopes for St. Pius X, but this will not be our church or school home sadly.
