this shelter is awesome! very clean, organized, and volunteers are super nice and sweet. this is the first shelter to ever properly reach out to us and we’re really grateful for that! we ended up taking this gorgeous little tortie home and she’s warmed up to us very quickly❤️ thank you folas for all your help! hope the other cats find a forever home very soon :)

5th rescue from FOLAS. Absolutely love the group. They take amazing care of the animals in their care!

We have adopted 2 cats from this shelter now. Absolutely the best staff when it comes to helping you make the right selection and giving you everything you need to transition your pet into a new home.

One of the best animal shelters! We adopted our cat Oscar from FOLAS. He is the best cat ever! Judy and the staff are outstanding and friendly. They know their well kept adoptables to pair them with a forever home. 10 stars and highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Absolutely they will take them...
Go past Target away from 1 and 9. Follow road past oil tanks until you see the trucking school. When you get to the city garage and the sign with the birds make left.
So sorry for your lost. You doing good by donating and sharing
If you go to their website you will see Petfinder and their application. They got right back to me! You see kittens and cats by appointment. They are amazing people!
I have a cockapoo puppy 9 weeks to give for adoption. Anyone interested? He was giving to my niece but we have no time for him.
Go to www.folas.org and fill out an application
Hi. You have to bring them to the human society in Newark. Animals are not laughed at. It's on the evergreen terrace. Good luck.
A variety of breeds and fees can be found on folas.org
Just some advice for the future, please don't feed cats that don't belong to you! Feeding them causes cats to see you as a second home, which sounds nice, but is very harmful to the cat/ potential owner! Not only do many cats have allergies, but cases of cats running away is almost entirely caused by people feeding them. My own cat went missing for two days, he came home sick, and became very aggressive and kept trying to escape because someone took him in and fed him. Before you feed a cat, please check for a collar or scan for a chip first! If the cat is chipped or has a collar, please do not feed it! Just a warning!
Its best to call to check/ask for this as the animals that are there changes very quickly (which is a good thing so they're adopted)
They are wonderful
No I dont believe they have any
Yes and you have to fill out the app on their website. I believe some of the requirements are you have to be 18 and health insurance.
No
You can't drop off animals, but you can adopt from there. Woodbridge Animal Shelter takes dogs & cats & is a no kill shelter. Elizabeth shelter is a kill shelter.
Call the humane society of newark
Give the office a call, a rep., will better assist you. Thank you for inquiring online.
No they only take pets from the Elizabeth Shelter and the Newark shelters.
