I have ordered from here at least twice. Once online and once in person. Both orders went off without a hitch. Item ordered online during the pandemic. Although placed online, I would get regular email updates from an actual person, not an autogenerated email, providing me updates on the order status. Most recently I ordered a couch in the store. I was greeted and helped by the staff. They helped to guide me to specific products, requested product and like products located throughout the store. When my rep had to check on his other customers, he asked his coworker to help me with my purchase. Once I ordered the item, the delivery guys were great. Friendly and respectful both times.

Capital Discount Furniture definitely has better prices than Ashley Furniture and for this I am grateful. Ted was my sales associate and he was pretty helpful, Ashley was nice as well. When I called I spoke with another lady on the phone whose name I cannot remember at this time. When I walked in the store I asked for her specifically as I thought she'd be helping me, when she found out my budget and I didn't like any of her suggestions she passed me off to Ted without even advising that she would which I thought was pretty shady. Now I feel as if I would rather someone that wants to help me do so and that was Ted. I am only going to give 3 stars because I called on Saturday and spoke with Russ to find out when I could expect my furniture in and was told that I would receive a call by today to schedule delivery, I did not and had to call and spoke with Connie and my furniture won't even be picked up until 8/30. I am not happy about that but am happy with my purchase.

Showed up late in the day looking for furniture to furnish my son's apartment. They worked to get us taken care of in our time crunch. Found Capital Discount Furniture to have great prices and super customer service. Highly recommend!

Initial 1 star reason: These guys have good selection of furniture but the customer service is poor. As a prospective customer we got good service, but the minute we made our purchase, all that changed. We received our sofa with a tear on the dust cover, and assembly screws stuck together. That made assembling impossible. When I called back for help, Ashley advised us to assemble using less screws. This could have damaged our furniture forever. Also another associate told us “customers assume a certain risk when they buy from us” when I asked them if they’d replace my faulty furniture like they promised while buying. The overall tone wasn’t helpful or friendly at all. We were going to buy a dining set and a bedroom set, but after this kind of service, decided not to. I’d advice visiting high point instead of buying from here. Not worth it. Update to 3 stars: after seeing the 1 star review, Scott reached out and finally understood what the frustration with the whole process was (i.e unfriendly tone of the customer reps) and also sent a piece of dust cover by mail. I just wish they cared about the customers as much as they do about their reviews, and this would have been an easy 5 star. In any case, thanks for getting in touch and rectifying some errors 👍🏼
