Horrible experience, the lady who was attending us at renewing our passports was incredibly rude. She definitely needs to get humbled.

Do not schedule a passport appointment here it will get cancelled 1-2 days before.

I've had great experiences with the front desk mail staff, however my experience with the passport office has been frustrating and upsetting. I have had two passport appointments cancelled over the past month due to an alleged staffing issue. I received a phone call two days before each appointment was scheduled to occur. If there aren't enough team members to work at the location, it is a clue that the work environment isn't optimal or supportive enough to keep staff members around. The woman who called me to cancel my appointment actually urged me to refrain from booking any other appointments at this location. Red flag! I will absolutely be renewing my passport at another location.

Yes, you do.
You can make an appointment at any office, but if you want to walk in, you will need to go to the Raleigh location at 1 Floretta Pl. Raleigh, NC between 10am-3pm
Walk up only, not a drive up
I'm sorry you had that experience there. I go & its usually in / out no problem. I definitely would seek a supervisor to try to rectify the issue. You shouldn't have to experience this as a customer under any circumstance.
Contact your local post office and report it if its postal property or your landlord if it's not the post office responsibility
They have an area/room that is specifically designated as passport services. I haven't personally used it, so I can't comment on specifics.

USPS says generally 2-8 days for anywhere in the US: https://www.usps.com/ship/mail-shipping-services.htm/ but I don't see a map or chart. You'll want to scroll down to USPS ground, as the page has multiple services listed. If it were Priority Mail, it would be 1-3 days, and they give you a calculator based on ZIP codes: https://www.usps.com/priority-mail/map/ That's not the right service, but it gives you a minimum: it shouldn't be any *faster* that that, right?
Yes, it's required at this location. Hours for photos are M-F 9:45a-2:45p.
Yes, only $24 for 3 months.
