You can go to the grotto but you cant get all the way down to the river itself to like swim in.
There is a very large open pavilion with roof. It is set up with a counter, and restrooms in the back. Should be just what you are looking for. I am pretty sure it has electricity. Worth checking out. Also has parking close by. I just checked their website. There is a kitchen! And it is reservable. Pavilion holds 125 people.
So if you're entering via the upper park (Bille entrance), you go left/west of the main play area, past the adult-sized swingset. If you're entering from the lower/West Wagstaff entrance, you go down/west past the large gazebo until you encounter a gravel path. Take that up/south and it will lead you directly to the crawler course. This route is longer than the Bille entrance.
