Shawnee Forest Cabins

We stayed in Cabin #6, but it had a bit of a bug problem. I understand, it's a cabin in the woods, bugs happen. However, since this cabin appeared to have been recently renovated, one would think there shouldn't be a bug problem. Nothing is more annoying than waking up in the middle of the night because you have ants crawling on your face. I have reached out to Shawnee Forest Cabins, but received no response. We weren't the only guests to comment on the bug problem. In the cabin log book, several entries over the last few months all mentioned the bug problem. So Shawnee Forest Cabins must know about this issue. This would have been a 5 star spot for me, had the bugs not been such an issue. That being said, we would return to this location and use these cabins again. The location is perfect! centralized to just about everything you can see in a day at GoG. The hot tub is big plus after a day of hiking! There is also a gift shop and ice cream parlor across the street, and a fire pit on the property. I would recommend anyone to stay here, but would urge them to avoid cabin #6 unless Shawnee Forest Cabins has corrected the issue.

Incredible experience. Perfect getaway for couples wanting to slip away to something extremely peaceful and serene, super close to garden of the gods that was an awesome experience as well. The cabin was absolutely beautiful we will definitely visit again....and again...and again. P.s. The hot tub felt so amazing after all the hiking we did that morning. Highly recommend this stay! It will not disappoint.

The cabin that we stayed in was very clean. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. Hot tub was amazing, especially after a long day’s hike. Staff was helpful and very responsive. Ideal location close to the Garden of the Gods. Love this place. Will definitely stay here again. You can’t go wrong with the Shawnee Forest Cabins. Thanks for a great stay!

Last minute trip for my 40th birthday. Absolutely wonderful experience the cabins or the cutest thing I've ever seen. And the hot tub with the enclosed back deck was absolutely divine! I would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a nice getaway! Will definitely be using their cabins again.
