We absolutely love these cabins. My kids insist on stopping here when driving from Alabama to Pennsylvania. There are lots of games and little trinkets to look at inside the cabin. Even a metal detector. The kitchen is exceptionally equipped and the beds are perfect. There is plenty to do outside. Perfect for our dog as well. We have stayed at a lot of properties and this one makes our favorite

Rented this cabin for a short weekend getaway with my husband and our dog. It was perfect! We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace with a nice cup of coffee in the morning, and a cup of hot cocoa in the afternoon. It's perfectly cozy, and the views are breathtaking!Thanks, Abigal..So glad you all enjoyed the cabin and all the area has to offer.

My family rented this place for Christmas. We were in cabin 15 from Dec 23rd-26th 2019. We always rent a cabin at a different location every year. We stayed in A Blue Ridge Haven (cabin #15) the end of August, 2020 and truly enjoyed it. This is a log cabin area with 26 cabins, most of which are privately owned and many are available for rent. We liked #15 since we were able to take our dog. The cabin is very nice and the owner has included everything to make your stay comfortable. It has plenty of things to entertain you, even on rainy days; TV, WiFi, books, games, a telescope for viewing the evening stars.The only warning is that it is located down a steep embankment with lots of steps from the parking lot at the top of the hill. This is not for the handicapped or even for those who have trouble with uneven inclines. It has all the amenities you need for a visit. It has plenty of things to entertain you, even on rainy days; TV, Wifi, books, games, a telescope for viewing the evening stars. The location is wonderful; just a mile or so from quaint Meadows of Dan with 2 or 3 little shops and a small grocery for anything you run out of. It's around the corner from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mabry Mill, Chateau Morrisette Winery, and our favorite, Villa Appalaccia Winery where we enjoyed Saturday afternoon outdoor music. (Note: Chateau Morrisette was closed due to the COVID-19 virus, but Villa Appalaccia was open with lots of outdoor seating and safe wine tasting inside with masks.) Plus the wine was wonderful! We enjoyed excellent food at the Longfin Grill located near the cabin at the old Cochran Mill. The chef, Richard, does a fantastic job even out of the food truck kitchen. We enjoyed ordering food there and taking it back to the cabin both nights of our visit rather than cooking something ourselves. Delicious seafood and ribs! Excellent everything. I suggest a trip to Floyd. We had a great breakfast at The Pharmacy Grill. Yes, it's really a quaint (and extremely clean) drug store with a grill. We ate outside on the patio along with our little dog. The food was great, inexpensive and the staff was so friendly. Floyd has a Saturday farmers' market and several little shops to enjoy. Blue Ridge Haven was a nice home base for exploring the area!
