Great place to launch your boat or go fishing. Beautiful scenery. There is another area just before the boat ramp area for picnics, swimming, and putting in your kayak. I saw more varieties of wildlife including dolphins, manatees, crabs, racoons, gator, in one day than I've seen anywhere else

There is a spot on the side of the road that appears for camping, about a mile before the ramp. It has a paved entrance and exit and two cement pads. No signs posted.
Of course you can... Be careful around there as tons of oyster beds around
