Lovely old ice cream shop. The staff were very nice. Pricing, per the usual popular ice cream place's historical record, is pretty high. The choice selection was average. Combined above implored the average rating.

Went to visit a farm down the road and stopped for ice cream with my children. We ordered food and had to wait for it to be called. The food didn’t take too long. I heard my number and walked to the window. There was no one there but shortly a young girl walked by carrying a water case. Once she set the case of water down, she looked towards me and I attempted to hand her my ticket. She stared at me like I was BLACK. (If you feel awkward reading this; I promise I felt worse) I told her I was number 605 and she just kept staring and saying “ okay?”, I guess I was supposed to know that the food that was on the counter was mine. She TRIED to fix her attitude and gather the rest of my INCOMPLETE order but at this point I was already over this establishment . Per customer service, she should’ve took my ticket and confirm my food on her end and send me on my merry ol way; like I had seen the other customers get served. Established 1961 so I can only imagine the morals and principles this place was built on. This is Weston, MA so I knew better. THIS IS A ZERO STAR review! The one star, I’ll give to the nice blonde girl with blue eyes that took our order, she was sweet and it sucks that everyone else I encountered wasn’t the same.

We stopped at this place because my wife's great grandmother used to live here and would frequent this place. Since we were touring through New England we decided to stop. We had a nice lunch and ice cream. I had the Caprese salad which was excellent. It had maranated mozz balls, sundried tomatoes, lettuce, fresh basil, pesto, fresh tomatoes and more. My kids enjoyed the cheese burgers. The burgers were large. The ice cream is soft serve and the flavor selections are limited but it was good. This is a cash only restaurant.

I went to Dairy Joy for the first time today. I was unimpressed. I would not come back again. The food was very expensive. I ordered a seafood plate and a fish taco. The food was good, but the portions were very small. I sat down and noticed I was missing the haddock and whole belly clams. I went back and told the women. She said they were out of clams and forgot the fish. It was frustrating to hear they were out clams after I received my food. Overall, I was very disappointed.

Yes, there are picnic tables along the outer edges of the parking lot as well. They are on grassy, shaded areas.
