had to coordinate two funeral homes to get my mother in-law from Florida back to Connecticut in a casket. Serenity Funeral home did a phenomenal job getting this important event for our family with a very high amount of professionalism. I didn't have to worry about anything! Our family member arrived at the airport just like they promised. The casket was as beautiful as the Funeral parlor promised A excellent experience during a emotionally difficult time for our family. Staff members were polite, knowledgeable and available to communicate with no matter what time of the day I needed to speak with them.

We are very grateful we had Emma Balou, Funeral Director to help us with our Aunt's Funeral. We had some of my aunt's paperwork from 1969 when she bought her initial funeral arrangements. We made an appointment for the next day. Emma researched their data base and found that our aunt had updated her funeral plans and had her funeral planned out. Emma had the details when we arrived to the appointment. Emma had a power point to show us what our Aunt had planned. Emma explained everything to us and what plans our aunt had made. She was very understanding and compassionate. There was no pressure and she took her time with us. Emma answered all our questions and listened to our requests and wishes. She had every detail and options we could pick to finalize our Aunt's funeral arrangements. Emma asked us about our aunt and her life. We picked to do the Celebration of Life. We were fortunate to meet the Design Team that happened to be there when we were leaving. The Design Team asked us about our aunt and what she liked to to do. We took some personal things over for the Celebration of Life. We were blown away when we showed up for the Celebration of Life. Every single thing we told the Design Team was represented in detail to celebrate our aunt. The time and detail the ladies put into honoring our Aunt was above and beyond. They put our aunt's memorial card with a small slot machine inside a satchel for her friends and family to take at her Celebration of Life. Every time we saw Emma during planning the funeral, dropping personal items off, at the service and when we picked personal items up Emma always asked how we were doing. She always commented about some detail of our Aunt's Life or how she was honored at the Celebration of Life. Emma was very personable one every encounter we had with her. We couldn't have asked for a better funeral director. The detail that Emma and the Design Team put into our Aunt's Celebration of Life was very personal and captured our aunt's life so beautifully. The Serenity Funeral Home & Serenity Gardens staff were outstanding! I couldn't have been more pleased with how everything related to my mother's final resting place and funeral was handled. When my mother's passing seemed imminent, I reached out to Serenity Gardens, and learned that there had been some mix-ups related a previously-purchased plot for my mother's funeral bench, which initially had me pretty panicked. However, Amber went above-and-beyond to sort through the details, and she made everything right! Kudos to her manager, Mike, as well, for his support. On top of resolving the mix-up, Amber did a ton of paperwork and communication with 6 different relatives to enable us to relocate my mom's husband and sister from niches into the beautiful new bench. She also kindly reworked the diagrams of the bench many times with adjusted engraving until everyone agreed it looked just right. And yes, the bench ended up looking perfect! .... Funeral Director Alexandria was also a gem. She helped me/us with figuring out countless details related to the obituaries and funeral, including responding to emails on her day off, which resulted in everything going far better than I could have imagined. Alex (presumably with some help) also put together an unbelievable vignette (huge display of my mom's favorite things) across the entire front of the room where the service was held. Everyone in attendance was amazed by it! ... Patricia, wrote and delivered an outstanding service - bringing (pleasant) tears to the eyes of many in attendance, as she did such a great job of honoring my mother's memory. ... Mark created an incredible photo video for the service, and even kindly put some copies on flash drives for us to view at home. ... I interacted with many other staff members while planning my mom's funeral / celebration of life, and each was so very professional, kind, and helpful. The same goes for all of the staff (including Funeral Director Emma), who worked during the actual service, interment ceremony, and subsequent reception. ... My family and I are so very appreciative of everything this team did to make my mother's funeral and final resting place so lovely. Thank you all! ... I (obviously) highly recommend Serenity Funeral Home and Serenity Gardens Memorial Park!

My moms funeral was so beautiful. She looked so peaceful. She had had several strokes which made it hard for her to form a smile. She looked so beautiful her hair make up. Gorgeous. Like she did before she had her stroke and had dementia. They also set up a table that told her life story everyone loved it. And they put a video together of a lot of pictures through the years that they asked us to bring in. The room was beautiful and they had 4 Rectangular screens on the walls, two on each side of the room. They would play pictures also part of the pictures we gave them to create a video. That made everything a lot easier For everyone there. It brought back a lot of wonderful memories that brought a lot of smiles on our faces instead of tears. Anything we needed they were right there to help us. I would highly recommend them for any funeral arrangements. My father passed away 18 years ago and we use them. When my mother passed away we decided to use them again and it was unbelievably better. I wish I could figure out how to post the table that they had there that told the story of her life. I might call them tomorrow to see if I can get them to post it with this review. We don’t normally like taking pictures at a funeral. But everybody loves this table. They just want to take pictures just to get a closer look at it and go down the table and see it all.
