Very nice b&b!!! Inn keeper friendly and accommodating. Super comfortable. Nice to have cold bottled water available. Generally quiet area although noise from trains during night.

So enjoyed the hospitality extended by Ms. Doris. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Wonderful breakfast and loved visiting with other guests there that weekend.

We were privileged to be guests of the mansion for only one night, but were so honored to do so. Arriving at The Old Victorian Inn felt like I was stepping back through a wrinkle in time- everything was so very well preserved, restored and/or authentically represented. It was a large house, with about five guest rooms. Although there were several other rooms occupied, it always felt like we were the sole guests of the mansion - it was so quiet. You will love the furnishings, the piano, the drawing room and game room. All, along with powder room and bedrooms are well done, comfortable and clean. We had a restful night, a wonderful breakfast and and were even able to add in awesome walking tour of the town. The innkeeper and owner, Doris, is a gracious host and very knowledgeable about the history of the town, and mansion. Modern amenities like Internet, TV, and games are available for our comfort. I even got to tickle the ivory on the piano. π. If you havenβt been to Alderson, It definitely is one key place you need to visit. Conveniently, the mansion is set right next to the main road, and although there is no public transport needed in town, there is a beautiful walking bridge nearby for your pleasure and AMTRACK conveniently located less than a quarter mile away. Prominently poised, beautifully landscaped, and with ample parking, your room is waiting. Two thumbs up for The Old Victorian mansion!!!

Beautifully restored turn of the century Victorian with a few rooms. The cleanliness and hospitality are top notch and the Breakfast is fresh and hot every morning. Mostly staples like cereal, coffee, bacon, eggs and toast but you can request what you'd like. Doris is a wonderful host and really makes you feel like part of the family~ Sad to leave after 4 days but hope to return soon!

Technically, only 1 has a private bath attached to the room. There are a total 3 baths on the second floor and 4 rooms. There is the potential if all 4 rooms are full that 3 rooms might have to share the 2 baths accessible from the hallway.
