Me and my husband visited the Walgreens store at 748 N. State Street in Westerville, Ohio on Friday afternoon. We had an appointment for Covid-19 boosters. The pharmacy was incredibly busy, so we had to wait some, but the Pharmacy Tech, Marqwyn, handled all the chaos with ease. For most of the time we waited, he was working solo, with a steady stream of customers at the counter, at the drive-thru, and on the phone. He even ran out at one point to the outside in the front of the store when a purchase was too large to fit in the drive-thru window, but was back in a flash. With so many people requiring Marqwyn’s attention, he never once lost his composure, and worked briskly to help everyone in a timely fashion. On top of it all, he was probably the most polite professional I’ve encountered at any pharmacy. With everything else he had to do, I was quite surprised when he called me and my husband in to the room to administer our vaccines. He was calm and collected, and got the job done with ease. This was our 4th Covid-19 vaccine, and the best experience thus far. Marqwyn is a true gem. He’s a consummate professional, and Walgreens is quite fortunate to have this amazing young man working for them. I expect Marqwyn to accomplish extraordinary things in his life. What a pleasure and honor to have been in his presence. I hope that Walgreens will give him the recognition that he deserves.

Most of the time I have good experiences here. I re-order my prescriptions well in advance and usually never have a problem picking them up. Most of the pharmacy staff have been friendly. In December the pharmacist herself was just rude. I had just switched insurances, the card my husband gave me did not cover medications, it was only the medical card and the pharmacist was flabbergasted that I was going to pay the full price -$14 - for my medicine and gave me kind of a hard time. Not the worst, but it made me laugh. Over $14, seriously? Maybe she was having a bad day. The rest of the store is usually pretty clean and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. Whoever is up at the front will greet customers when they enter. I switched to this store from CVS on Cleveland Ave a few years ago because CVS was just way too busy. Always a line to pick up meds. I know there are some bad reviews listed but most appear to be based on one time experiences, which really isn't fair. And with all the COVID stuff, as a nurse, I know anyone who does ANYTHING in healthcare (like adding COVID shots and testing to already busy pharmacists and techs) is just a lot. Something has to give and it appears, at times, they can't answer the phone. I like this store.

Literally scheduled my covid test online and on the confirmation email, they had specifically said to not get out of vehicle and a pharmacy member will come to you and get your test done. Arrived on my appt. On time and called the pharmacy literally for 20 mins but no one answered and on their email they said you can't get out of the vehicle. Well, guess what I tried calling the pharmacy and nobody answered. Literally, everything was so unorganized and I should've read the reviews before because apparently I am not the only one who had trouble getting a covid test done. Just don't go here and save your time.

Worst pharmacy ever. They never have medications “in stock” even medications you get on a regular basis. Pharmacists rarely knows the answer to the Questions you have.

They probably sell the batteries, but they wouldn't put the battery in for you.
