The Newbury street shop is surprisingly large for Newbury street and has great stock of shoes to try on - it's a bit below street level so make sure you pay attention when you walk by, but it's definitely worth a stop! I stopped in on a Friday night before a huge snowstorm because I wanted to buy a pair of boots to celebrate getting promoted. I felt a bit bad coming in at 6:30pm on a Friday night before a snow storm, and was surprised at how warm and welcoming the whole team was. Particular shout out to Olive, who helped me understand the fit of the shoes, and how they change as you wear them, and gave me the low down on the 1490 oxblood style I really wanted. She was very patient as I tried on probably 5 pairs of shoes, and actually did a flawless hand off to her coworker Stephanie when it was time for her to clock out. I hope you ladies made it through the storm safely, and thank you for making me feel special when I came in to buy myself a promotion present!

Never been treated so bad in my life. My family went in to buy 3 pairs more pairs of shoes for gifts, and we were treated horribly. As if asking for the man to get us a different size than the display was asking too much. Unfortunate because I have several pairs of Dr. Marten’s shoes and I definitely won’t go back to the Boston (my local) store again.

I just walked out of this store as a very satisfied customer! Brooke helped me today and she was an absolute delight. I didn’t own a pair of Docs and didn’t know much about the brand, luckily Brooke swooped in and provided a plethora of information about wear and care and helped me pick out the perfect style. I am so happy to have been assisted by her and if given the chance, I wouldn’t have chosen anyone else. Not only was Brooke helpful to me, but I also witnessed her go above and beyond to help as many shoppers as she could which says a lot as the store was very busy. I recommend stopping by as early as possible to avoid having to wait outside because this place monitors the capacity levels due to COVID. When you do go, ask for Brooke and tell her Jasmine from North Carolina sent ya!
