Beware- The hotel looks lovely from website photos, and I'm sure some of the rooms are as pictured. However, nowhere on this page do they show a 4th building, which is where we were baited and switched to. This area was not part of the hotel, but was an old motor lodge that has been annexed to the property. It was terrible! The air conditioning unit was so loud we turned it off one night so we could sleep. The floor was damaged, the dresser had a hole in it, the outlets didn't work, the ice machine was broken, the bathroom was tiny- I could go on. When we complained to the unhelpful clerk, we were told we should have realised that there were other buildings. I would have been fine with that if I felt I got what I paid for. I will not stay here again, because I was very disappointed in the experience.

We met Bonnie at the front desk who greeted us with a very friendly welcome. Super helpful and just a nice person to talk to. We stayed in one of the refurnished ocean front rooms and it was perfect. Clean, great view, and bedding was very comfortable. The hotel's location is nice because you're within walking distance to restaurants and it's right on the beach. Thanks to the entire staff at the Drifting Sands for a fun and memorable vacation!

We went down with our 2dogs for my 70th birthday not really expecting much. Upon arrival we were greeted with very accommodating front desk employees and they were the same throughout our 3 night stay. Cannot say enough good about them. The Hotel is very clean for being a pet friendly resort and our room was awesome. The location can't be beat. You never need to use your car. You are steps to the beach as well as a lot of food places both upscale and Wawa, 7-11, and so many others. We had a wonderful time. This place did not disappoint. We will be back. Just loved it!!!

You are paying for the convenient location. The photos of what look like newer rooms, is not the status of every room. Our room had an old carpet and wasn’t that clean. Additionally, the wall unit was absolutely filthy. I called the desk to see if they had an alternate room, which they didn’t have a comparable available. They sent some kid (seriously would be surprised if he was even 18) to “clean” the unit. That was basically him taking a rag and getting the large chunks out, but left some of the debris on the floor. I suggested maybe taking a vacuum to the wall unit and floor. The response was “I probably couldn’t find one.”

They have ramps on the oceanfront building and rooms marked handicapped accessible. You can't really see the ocean from the 1st floor rooms because of the dune, but it sounds fantastic!
