I moved from Rockland County many years ago, but when I'm in the area always try to go there to get bread. It is a wonderful experience to wander thru the bakery and select from the huge amount produced every day. I am never disappointed! The bread - from the sandwich rolls to the loaves of rye, pumpernickel, etc., plus the bagels are always fresh and delicious. I have picked bread products hot off the racks. My children encourage me/ us to go whenever we can. This particular time the staff was extremely helpful pointing out the various products and the freshest of them. I wish I lived closer! If you have the chance - go!!!

The best kept secret of Rockland County. The bagels are the freshest bagels you can find. They also have a deli inside.

Where do you even start with a place like this... I have listened to my parents talk about going to the Rockland Bakery when they were growing up for the last 30+ years. I was in White Plains for work and decided to take a quick little trip across the Tappan Zee Bridge. I was following the gps but let me tell you... no gps is needed once you get close. You can smell it from afar. I was very much a deer in headlights when I walked in. I didn't even know what I was supposed to do first. I took a few minutes to just walk around the storefront with all of the amazing looking and desserts, walked into the deli, and then into the bakery. A very kind woman working there could clearly see that I had no clue what I was doing. She gave me very clear instructions telling me to grab some food safe plastic gloves, a paper bag (or more) and have at it. Fresh breads of all kinds all around you. Bagels flowing right off of the line out of the ovens. It was like carb heaven in there. Being that I was on a work trip, I tried to control myself a little bit. I ended up with bagels for my hotel room, I bought a few loaves of rye and challah to ship home, and of course had to get some black & whites to send home to my parents as well. Wonderful place. I can imagine it can be hard to find a place to park or to even get in depending on the time of day. I was there probably around 2 pm and while I didn't have any issue parking or getting around in the bakery, it was definitely busy. But they keep everyone moving smoothly. Next trip to White Plains, this is my first stop. Highly recommend.

Nice clean place. You smell the baked goods as you pull up. Good luck finding parking. Cheap good quality bagels. Pick your own freshly baked bagels off of the belt. Freshly made breads and they will also slice the breads for free! They also make fresh breakfast and lunch sandwiches.

Absolutely they do make sugar free. Usually all of Sourdough breads are always sugar free. So it's always good to pick up Wheat or regular sourdough button or big loaf.
Don't leave then out. Put them in a zip lock should be OK.
Ya of corse
Yes. Of course. Big and small sizes.
Yes o know because my cousin works thete
Yes ,fresh and the. Best
I always recommend that somebody go with the attitude of that you'll do any job to get in the door because if someone shows a willingness to work at anything, they will ultimately be a great employee
Rockland Bakery makes a fantastic Seven layer cake. It's a throwback to the way bakeries used to make Seven Layer cake. There's actually seven layers of yellow cake, we counted each layer. The filling in-between is chocolate. Nothing fancy probably made from a large 5 gallon bucket of commerical chocolate filling, but Rockland Bakery does use a better quality of filling and frosting. If you are looking for a delicious Chocolate Seven Layer cake Rockland Bakery is worth the effort. I would also recommend trying their rugelach and having them tie the box tight otherwise they won't make it home.
I believe that the bakery section where the breads 🍞 and accociated baked goods are made, is kosher. But my opinion is based on a presumption of the Orthodox Jewish ✡ community shops here for the high holy days. As others stated.. the best way to know is to call and ask but don't settle for asking a cashier.. call and ask for a manager then ask the manager.
Yes
About 25 dollars
Rockland Bakery ís extremely safe & had great food. Not only fresh bakery food (breads, all different & many pastries inclusion
I'm not sure, you would have to call.

In Albany I don't know, but they sell their stuff retail at the actual bakery in Rockland.
I've never gotten a sandwich there. I doubt the tour started again because when I went last time we couldn't go behind a yellow rope, the employees picked the bagels for us.
Yes
Yes
You have to call them. Spanish speaking
I would call them direct and ask them that question
I believe so as I see many and I mean many Jewish families come to buy. But to be completely sure you can call and ask.
Rockland Bakery doesn't carry frezzelle... I pick up my frezzelle at Arthur Ave in the Bronx.
You can get them to go, or sit down in a small deli area. Dont miss out on going all the way to the back, and get all the bread, bagels, etc straight from the oven!
I believe the bakery is open till 9 the deli closes at 5
I would guess Rockland Bakery does
I would call them to ask, they are very nice there. The above comment is correct, their main site is Nanuet and it is lovely! They can probably tell you what businesses they sell to in your area :)
So one just has to ask for pretzals, and they are made? They are in the photos on here. I already know they made pretzal bread- looks so good! Couldn't find last time i went.
