Rats in my apartment due to pre-existing holes in the walls that were stuffed with insulation instead of actually being fixed unbeknownst to us. Was told that this was beyond the expertise of anyone here and to deal with it ourselves. Had a leak in our kitchen once due to our neighbor. She had a lot of stuff so they couldn’t be bothered to fix it on her side despite it being her problem. Maintenance busted in at 1am without telling us to tear apart our whole kitchen (for a problem that wasn’t ours). Had to leave for a week. If you love living life on the edge and dealing with a new problem once a week, then absolutely stay here!

the great thing about village green is the club house, the pool, and the excellent maintenace staff. the maintenance staff were always helpfull to me.what ever i needed it got done. the office staff are useless you have aproblem with the tenants, call the polce.they are horrible at inforcing rules.theapts are semi comfortable.they dont do basck round checks, which i found out when they moved a loud drunk above me. overall i would say its a decent place. watch who your neibors are

Awesome staff, awesome clubhouse, really nice apartments.. the acoustics are terrible. The ceilings are so thin that you can hear everything your neighbor is up to (or maybe I had really loud neighbors?). I couldn’t sleep at night because the ceilings would shake every time my neighbors stomped around and they were up until 2-3am. It was SO loud. I made several complaints to management and nothing changed, except for when they offered for me to move out - which I did. Here’s the kicker - after I left I moved to Boston, and then to NYC (east village manhattan so right in the middle of the action), and it’s STILL quieter than Village Green. I get better sleep in a bustling city than this suburban paradise which I find both ironic and funny. Just had to share. Other than that, everything about Village Green was pleasant, but not being able to sleep at all in my six months there has really left a salty taste in my mouth. I always blamed myself but apparently it wasn’t me. I woke up this morning realizing that I’m finally in a good mood again because I’ve had months of peaceful sleep.

I really enjoyed living here. The apartments and on site amenities were updated. The neighborhood was relatively quiet. Front office and maintenance staff were professional, timely and friendly. Also the apartments we're pet friendly. The only downside was that the only window in our bedroom opened up onto the fire escape so I felt unsafe leaving it open at night which was hard during the summer as the only air unit for the apartment was out in the living room.
