Went here because I wasnt happy at my previous eye drs office. Big mistake. Dr doesnt listen when you speak and try to explain things. The equiptment used looks pretty outdated, and worst of all, I have one of the worst cases of dry eye (according to every eye dr I have seen previously since I was younger) and he didnt notice it, didnt mention it, so it went untouched. How does an eye dr who's job it is to take care of your eyes not notice you have issues with your eyes? And I didnt feel it was my job to tell him, I went to him because its his job. Choices of frames also look very outdated, not many choices for younger persons style to choose from. My fiancee saw him as well same day, he never noticed her dry eye either. Her eyesight isnt all that good and she has always had a strong prescription. He looked at her and told her "wow your eyesight is like a 50year old persons or older" talk about rude, and he gave her glasses with less prescription in them so she cant wven use those glasses because she cant see with them. So after all that they kept calling for us to set up another appt. So I finally called them and explained that we would not be going back. I also said to the woman that called why would I go back to a dr that is supposed to know eyes and eye problems but he is the only eye dr that didnt notice my severe dry eye, she then says "maybe he didnt notice it, you should of told him" so I said ok so why didnt he notice my fiancees either? Of course no response.. In a nutshell I do not recommend this place, especially if you are having issues with your eyes and want it taken care of right.

Excellent doctor. I’ve always gotten thorough exams and the doc is an easy going dude. The front staff is amazing. She is very friendly and always willing to help

I went to Dr. Nielsen for the first time today. I was exceptionally impressed by how thorough he was and how committed he was to helping me. The appointment was exactly on time and he spent over an hour examining my eyes and speaking with me. We made another appointment for two months to monitor my eyeS. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants a skilled caring and thorough eye doctor. I don’t write reviews like this very often and I have been to many doctors

I went to this doctor because my other doctor retired. I ordered a pair of contacts and put glasses on reserve because I wasnt sure I wanted them or not. I finally order them about a year later I hesitated because I could get them elsewhere for over 100 cheaper ok the frames. They tell me to get the extra coatings and etc for another 120 on the lenses. I get them and I'm completely unhappy with these glasses. They don't fit right and the color is off. So I go back the next day and try to fix the situation. They swap out the frames for another frame in the color I thought it was supposed to be originally BUT they still don't fit right. When I lay down on a pillow they fall off my face. Who wants a pair of glasses that don't stay on your face. So the lady attempts to heat them and move them. She brings them back and they look like they are going to break off because she over bent them. They WILL NOT LET ME swap to a different pair of glasses WITHOUT me eating the 320 cost of lenses. I had these glasses a day and they FIT TERRIBLY. I dont reccomend these people to anyone since now I have a 520 pair of glasses that belong in the trash

If I broke my glasses to get them replaced by my insurance do I need to bring the broken ones in to your office?

That would depend on your insurance. Most often, the answer is yes - we will need the broken glasses. However, there are a few insurance plans that don't require the glasses be brought in.
