ShopRite of Niskayuna

Very clean & organized for a small grocery store, I usually go to the one in Colonie. I noticed that, the Niskayuna store did not have sale items marked within the isles. This makes it difficult to know the sale price without searching through the weekly flyer. Also, only 4 registers open on a busy Saturday afternoon, the lines went into the isles. Making it hard to navigate a small store.

Who decided how the deli runs? Here’s some feedback: it’s TERRIBLE! Stop wasting paper and stacking the orders. It’s dumb. I know if I’m going to the deli then I’m going to be waiting if I don’t want the precut stuff and I’m ok with that. The staff is extremely slow. I put an order of 1/2 pound of turkey, walked around the store for like 15 minutes and the turkey still wasn’t in the cooler when I came back around. I wasn’t waiting any longer and said forget it. You have the computer that you can put an order in to, why are the staff doing it? I wasn’t the only one who said forget it too. You lost at least three customers when I left. The process is really moronic. Also, it’s the end of February and you still have holiday magazines at the check out. Normally I wouldn’t notice but check out was slooooow and there’s a limit of $12.50 on bottle slips redemption. Took forever for the cashier to realize this is what was happening with the customer in front of me who was over that amount and the register wouldn’t complete the transaction. I felt like I was in a Stephen King book and I was going to be trapped in the store forever.

My all time favorite grocery shopping location. I grew up right here and graduated high school 100 feet away from this very clean and very safe Ship Rite location. I love that 6 nights a week it’s open until midnight which is not true of any other market in the area. So great to stop in here at any time of day and any numver of staff will say hello or joke around and call me by name. I honestly feel very much at home here. Best of all when I use the Shop Rite app I simply click on any and all items I would like to use as digital coupons. No clipping coupons any more … all I do is hand the checkout person my shop rite card and the total money amount at the end just rolls down down down ! Everyone wins ☺️

Really enjoyed shopping here. Clean, organized, well stocked with variety of food, refreshments, meats, treats and flowers for every need. Since it was my first time there I couldn't find a few things and asked staff. They were so nice, courteous and ready to help me find what I needed. Very happy finding a lot of my favorite foods and treats here and will be a regular shopper.
