This store doesn’t have as much of a variety as they claim and the staff are rude (especially during covid) and their fudge is low quality and overpriced and they sell them by bricks. (Who eats that much especially if one flavor?) The owner does not know how to manage his staff, especially management. An thin old lady who is a manager (dyes her hair a Sandy Blonde) discriminates against children with Autism. My son wasn’t the only child on the spectrum that she bullied throughout the store. (Of course I told her off, but shouldn’t have to) The owner of the store unfortunately owns the village as well so he doesn’t care about people boycotting Franklin’s General Store. It can be fine for tourists on their first visit, but the locals know better than to waste their time and money on a store who treats children with disabilities like they’re incompetent and doing something wrong just by being themselves. She is WAY out of line to even try speaking directly to someone’s child when the parent is right there to redirect them. I for one, let her know that. The owner needs to change the staff or business will continue to decline.

When you go all the way here just to walk around and smell how amazing it is in there... it's worth your time. Great food and merchandise. Get the fudge it's legendary.

Have been going here for decades. Not anymore. I was the only customer, The service at the fudge counter was impeccable but when I got to the register I had to wait for employees to finish having a personal conversation. This business is lucky I had my kids with me or I would’ve left without purchasing.

This is what an old fashioned general store should be! From food, soaps, books, toys, decorations and more, you can find it all here. I loved their wide assortment of goods, which made for a fun and interesting walk through the shop. I found some great Christmas gifts here, and can't wait to come back in the future to pick up some more unique treasures.
