This has got to be one of the most interesting and well curated bookstores for the location that I have been to in a long time. They stock a HUGE selection of nautical, ocean, and New England nonfiction, as well as a good selection of the same types of fiction. I've got an interest in the subject, but I have rarely walked into a bookstore and seen so much I want to buy! Very cool place. Also there is a great little gallery in the back, and the usual souvenirs downstairs.

I tried to take my kids to the book store a month ago and the upstairs area no longer exists and they have greatly scaled back the downstairs gift shop (but we enjoyed the cafe).
You may want to also try Amazon. They probably will have your book for less. Otherwise, the Seaport Bookstore has an extensive, impressive collection to choose from children's to adult.
