Called in with a nail in the middle of my tire. They told me they’d get me right in. They took the keys and pulled the car around. An hour and a half if waiting later I get up and walk around and see my car parked in a different spot in the lot. When I go up to the counter,they say the nail was pulled, patched and I’m ready to go. I pay $31 and I’m on my way. Tire pressure was higher than when I went in so I figured it was taken care of. The next day, I see the same nail sitting in my tire while I’m getting ready to drive the 1000 miles home. I call and they tell me I must’ve run over another nail. I tell them it’s the exact same spot and they have marked it with white chalk. They get the assistant manager Rob and he says, oh yeah they couldn’t repair it so I need a new tire. I tell him that’s not true and I want my money refunded back to my card. They tell me I have to drive back in and they’ll give me cash but that I still need a new tire. I get another local mechanic to plug it in 15 minutes. I call Rob back and say just refund my card. Again they say I have to come into the store. At this point I’m in my car driving home. Bottom line avoid these people. They are shady and will put your family in danger (like they did mine). I’ve called corporate to try to resolve the issue but I’d never go to pep boys again.
