Set up a 1:00 appointment. Waited nearby to avoid parking issues in a private driveway off a road with no shoulder/on street parking (recently 2 deaths). Was being considerate of other shoppers & the auctioneer. Sat in the middle of the road while ten or so cars finally pulled out with a woman in front who kept backing up and pulling forward nearly hitting us three times. Finally entered the driveway only to have to back out through an overgrown entry as other cars exited. All happening well after 1:00. I had mentioned the parking issue BEFORE making the appointment. Mr. Hollifield (the person “running” the sale was rude somehow indicating it was our fault he didn’t handle parking properly even with advance notice. Berated me on the phone and never answered my question regarding the legality of selling whale ivory scrimshaw. Bad experience all around. The RIGHT way to handle this would have been to say “I am sorry for the horrible parking problem perhaps we could set up another appointment & will give you an answer regarding the sale of ivory scrimshaw”.

Very unprofessional and inconsiderate of others time. I won bidding on an website they were registered on. According to them it wasn’t accurate I should have used a different site. They should have made that known from the beginning. And then I called 2 days in a row. Spoke with two separate individuals about me driving an hour to come pick up what I had won, both individuals asked for my name and said they would try to have everything ready for me by the time I got there. Only to drive there and be told “sorry you actually didn’t win anything from the auction, you should have used the other site.” Well thanks for the heads up and thanks for letting me know I hadn’t won anything when I gave you my name twice. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate of other people’s time. I have been an auction shopper for quite some time and will never shop from them again!
