Very nice museum. A little dark. Solid Hudson River collection but too many secondary sculptures by minor hands on display. Surely something superior lingers overlooked buried in storage.

It was a quaint museum full of wonderful things to see, from amazing works of contemporary modern art, a costume exhibit and classical pieces to a a small but comprehensive Egyptian collection. They really knew how to capture the history behind the pieces. Definitely a must when you're in Albany.

Such a great exhibit and the scavenger hunt for kids kept them entertained and focused on the works.

Really nice museum, they had Wyeth's family BOA art collection, excellent exhibit from 1800's and 1900's. My favorite was train travel in 1920s and 1930s, some really outstanding posters and other exhibits. Hudson river school paintings, 19th century American Sculpture, ancient Egypt, and colonial Albany where all part of the experience. Definitely worth a visit.
